  1. SPOILERS about the SLIDERS cast... Jerry and Charlie both left after Season 4, Sabrina did come back for one episode in Season 5. Cleavant tried to keep the story going with the new cast but it wasn't the same story any more... Same premise, same time, same place, different worlds, wrong cast... I liked Sliders until mid-season 3 when FOX kept moving it around and lost viewers. I did stick with it until the end of Season 5 on SciFi channel though. I kept hoping for a return to the original story line. I've always been a huge "what if" fan. Sliders was a perfect idea that never really got utilized properly on tv. now for the topical stuff... I miss V, but it got sillier after the mini-series ended and the budget dropped for the series. Anyone remember the series about an island in the Bermuda triangle where people of several time periods co-existed? It was an NBC show, I think.
  2. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001552/ IMDB's Pat Morita page with list of movie credits. He was still quite busy in films. Several a year. I hadn't even known he'd passed away until browsing the forums here. So sad to see him gone at 73. That's my mom's age and she's slowing down, too. When the heck are humans getting anti-aging medications?
  3. Yeah, NBC/SciFi sold Sliders a few years back so Australia saw episodes before the US. I can remember chatroom conversations with Oz buddies that stopped when I came in so the eps weren't spoiled when I got to see them. Grrr. Thanks, folks. I wanted to know what happened. I like SPOILERS. Oh Well, with torrents, I get to stay any where along the viewer curve I want.
  4. Baltar reminds me more a monkey than an ape. Roddy McDowell is not old. He is quite dead as of October 3, 1998. (terminal cancer) R.I.P Roddy... He was 70 years old.
  5. Possibly true, now. BUT, when Star Trek went on the air in the 1960's, it was not plausible. It was just a wagon train in space. Whatever, I vote for the plausible science angle. I like various types of science fiction and I love alternate history.
  6. You must be kidding! After inventing warp drive, would you stick to the same solar system? Cochrane must obviously have moved to Alpha Centauri and kept a vacation home on Earth for his lecture circuits, college speeches and statue posing...
  7. According to this webpage... http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~hwloidl/FAQL-aliens-rasm.html#home Kling was the first name applied to the Klingon homeworld but it's been called several other things over time including Kronos, Q'oNos(whatever), Klinzhai... Game shows nowadays would probably use the Qo'Nos name...
