I've managed to rort the education system: I have a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Neuropsychology, cognitive science and IT. I used that to get me entry into a Masters of Digital Design (I used a portfolio entry and the experience I had working for my previous university's clubs or organisations as a newsletter editor and graphics artist/photography) The Masters degree gaving me a ranking of 98 (out of 100) and let me get into Aerospace Avionics Engineering at a University that didn't mind that I didn't have the math pre-reqs. After satisfying the math pre-reqs there, I transferred to a different university to do my current degree: Mechanical and Space Engineering (basically Aerospace Engineering with a Mechanical basis). Next semester I'm transferring into Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science majoring in Mech and Space Engineering and Astrophysics. I already have a job working for the air force here, repairing and upgrading aircraft. They will be paying for my education from next semester onwards. Rorting the system is so much fun. :D

Purdue University (based in West Lafayette) or Indianapolis University-Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI - based in the centre of Indianapolis) both offer IT-style degrees, including e-commerce and IT&T. My fiance started in Bachelor of Information Systems at Purdue and transferred to Bachelor of Computer Technology at IUPUI. School is highly recommended for IT. I say it's egg-shaped and lumpy....kind of like what happens when you go to boil an egg and the shell is cracked, and bits leak out everywhere as it cooks. So when you peel the shell off, its generally egg-shaped, but all distorted and lumpy with bits poking out all over the place. Or do I just keep dropping the eggs into the pan too hard?

immune systems are easier to trick than you think. If the respirocyte had a molecular coating (which is already possible to do) that mimicked the DNA of the recipient, then the immune system would be tricked. What kicks off an immune system is a molecule that has a molecular coating that differs from the host. That's why viruses infect blood cells and use the blood cell itself to replicate. Viruses trick the body into ignoring the infected blood cell. Basically you need to make the nanocyte mimick virus behaviour. That sounds so dodgy... :)

Cryogenics is a great concept, one that I'd like to take advantage of. Except for one issue... I found this out in my first degree (neuropsychology): Cryogenics involves the rapid freezing of tissue, to preserve the tissue exactly as it is without any damage. The rapid freezing ensures that the water in the cells of the body doesn't expand too rapidly as it freezes (this is done by various methods, usually a change in pressure differentials) one problem: the water in the body's cells DOES expand slightly. Most cells can handle this due to stretching, EXCEPT the brain. The cells of the brain are so small and inelastic that even that slight expansion of the water molecules as they freeze is sufficient to rupture most of the brain tissue. So yes, they can defrost you and wake you up, but you'll probably have the intellectual abilities of a large squash. When they fix that, then I'll probably sign myself up for it.

have my PPL and made the RAAF (AU Air Force) pay for it. Applied for Undergrad Scholarship Scheme this year (means the Air Force pays for me to do my engineering degree). Applied as either an aerospace engineer or as a pilot. THey've accepted me in general entry, and have to go for the rest of the interviews to determine which field I'll go into. YAY!
