  1. One Star Trek game I am looking forward to is the MMORPG being developed by Perpetual Entertainment. They finally released some information about the game for the first time on the 14th. It's not much, but enough to give you a good idea about the general game play. Here is a link to the interview http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/03/14/news_6120362.html
  2. Even the people on DS9 think projectile is better. In the episode "Field of Fire" they create the best weapon ever, a sniper rifle that can shoot through walls. Best thing is, the weapon is completely untraceable.
  3. If an alien race was smart enough to create the technology to travel between the stars, I’m sure they would be able to see that the human race is not ready to make contact with another intelligent race. Just look at how we treat the other beings on this planet. Now I am not by any means an animal rights person or a tree hugger, but just look at how are superior arrogance has caused us to treat the planet. Now imagine if a more advanced race just showed up and showed us that we are not the top of the galactic food chain. I'm sure that people like us, who believe that there is something more, will have little to no problem handling the truth. But for those who believe the teachings that governments and religions tell us, the very floor of there beliefs would fall away.
  4. More and more TV shows and books are starting to work on the premise that their was an earlier, more advanced race that evolved here on Earth before current day man. Do you think that in the millions of years before recorded history, that this is possible?
  5. I saw the special that Discovery did on DS1. The mission plan was to send it out to rendezvous with a comet and take detailed pictures. This was to be the first test of the ion engine. They were also testing a new advance nav system that could make self correcting course corrections based on pictures the probe took through out the trip. Things were going fine for the first 20 minuets the engine was on, then the engine cut out. After 12 to 24 hours, they were able to get the engine going again. The rest of the mission went as planed except that the nav system broke down somewhere and the probe was about 100 miles of course. The problem was that the comet was to dark in the pictures the probe took so the nav system couldn’t get a fix on it. They tried a last minuet ground controlled correction, but they were not able to get as close to the comet as they wanted to.
  6. I like the idea of using the Borg and some of the DS9 story line. One possibility for a story would be to pick up were DS9 left off. Let’s say it is a few years after Sisco leaves to be with the Profits and Voyager has returned formed the Delta Quadrant. Kira, now the commanding officer of the station, is going about her daily routine when suddenly Sisco appears in front of her. Going against the will of the Profits, he is back to bring a message of warning to the Federation. The Borg have developed a new dooms day weapon, and are on their way to the Alpha Quadrant. Using the powers of the Profits, Sisco has learned of away to finally defeat the Borg. He has learned the location of the Borg home world. By destroying the central link in the collective, the Borg will be destroyed once and for all. With this story line we could bring in both the Enterprise-E and Voyager, with the two captains with the most Borg experience. We could also bring in the Klingons, Romulans, and even the Dominion.
