  1. They were a very important element of Blake's 7. I don't think Blake's 7 would be half as fun as it was if it used A Star Trek teleport system. BTW, Does anyone know where I can get a Liberator teleport bracelet? Apparently they were pilfered by the crew over the years. I would kill for one. And no, I don't want to make one out of construction paper. So don't post a link to that page.
  2. Apparently the movie is coming out in July: http://forums.scifi.com/index.php?showtopic=2302096 When the show first started, the theme music scared me, made scared that I'd be abducted by aliens. (go ahead laugh)LOL I was 16 when the show started so I guess thats kind of embarrassing. But I've been watching episodes on TNT (and a few on Sci-Fi) for the last 6 months or so, and now I'm hooked. I actually want to be abducted by aliens now just to get off this planet. But I guess there's no chance they''d take me back to Zeta Reticuli and worship me as their god. They'll probably just do experiments on me, put a tracking device in me and send me back here. :( Be careful what I wish for? :o Is it just a coincidence that Sci-Fi and TNT has their weekly X-Files block on the same day? I saw 6 episodes in 1 day a couple weeks ago. That was awesome.
  3. One thing I hated about Enterprise was that that Enterprise looked 100 years newer than the TOS Enterprise. Just because TV filming technology is vastly better than when TOS was made doesn't mean you can't go old school. I hope they don't screw that up in the movie but I'm sure they will. And why this obsession with going backwards? Thats the whole problem if you ask me. If you pick up where TNG, DS9, or even Voyager left off, you have something to build the next series on. But if you go backwards you're pretty much starting from scratch.
  4. A Start Trek series from a non-Starfleet perspective. That would be awesome. How about Star Trek: Romulus? And how about letting fans do the writing? That could work couldn't it? It couldn't be worse than ENT.
  5. If you goto the version of this site in the mirror universe you can probably find torrents. :p
  6. That describes me perfectly. I got a 103 BTW. It never occured to me that Uhura had a 1st name. Was ever mentioned? The only time I could think that it would be was at the end of The Voyage Home when they were court Marshalled. I don't think I've heard Zulu's first name either. I know Checkov's 1st name is Pavel. I guess Spock and Worf (or any Klingon or Vulcan) don't have other names. Except for Alexander Roshenko.
  7. If you think thats weird you should see Colm Meaney in an episode of Law And Order:CI. He played a crooked judge who likes to have sex with the same girls as his son. :o :o

    Trek Actors

You think of Shran before Wayoun and Brunt? I liked Shran too even better than some of the regulars, but I think of Wayoun and Brunt before Shran. He also played that guy who wanted to have holosex with Major Kera. I think he should be the captain in the next Trek Series. He also was in a couple Picket Fences episodes. I didn't see that in the list. Several Trek actors did voices in the Disney cartoon Gargoyles. One of the best cartoons ever made. Might still be going today if Disney had adhered to the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" rule.
  9. Since when is Winona Ryder a popular actor? The last time she was on camara was when she was shoplifting. It could be worse. The could've gotten Britney Spears to play his mother.
  10. After seeing that episode a few more times, it dawned on me, why did they need to specially assimilate someone just to say "You will be assimilated, resistance is futile"? They also did the same thing to a Ferengi. I can't remember which series. DS9 I think. What about the continuity of the TNG, DS9, and VOY uniforms? Sometimes they wore 1 piece tops and sometimes 2 piece. 1 part of the 2 piece was grey and they had a jacket or something over that that was the appropriate department color. They seemed to be interchangeable. Some episodes they wore 1 and some the other. Although, according to this page, TNG had the 1 piece in seasons 1 and 2 then in the 3rd season the went to the 2 piece and DS9 and VOY always had the 2 piece. I've seen so many episodes and out of order, so I could very well be wrong. Apparently there was also a reverse version of the 2 piece. Like what Picard is wearing here: I remember this too but forgot about it until I saw this.
  11. The music from the TNG episode where Picard was Cayman and played that Flute really gets to me. :'( Has it really only been a year since Enterprise ended? Seems like its been 2. Wow how time (doesn't) fly.

    New Trek?

I'm all for a new Trek series, but please don't call it Cardinal! That's the stupidest name I've ever heard. :o Ah well, maybe it'll grow on me. Does anyone remember the time ship episodes from Voyager? That would've been a great sixth series. I suspect those episodes WERE groundwork for the next series but alot of Trekkies for some dumb reason complained about ST going further and further into the future with each series. So those complaints caused ENT. I hope you guys are happy. Star Trek: Relativity might be in its 7th season by now if it weren't for you guys. :( Don't get me wrong, I to wanted to bridge the gap between now and TOS but I don't think you needed a whole series to do it. A movie or 2 would suffice. First Contact was a good start.
  13. We're actually in one of Wesley's warp bubbles. LOL UM, I think there's some things missing from the posting page. Look: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a307/heat84/88.jpg I guess its just happening to me since I see Emoticons in other posts in this thread but what could be causing it? Maybe its the warp bubble? LOL (since I can't do an emoticon)
  14. Are you sure she was promoted? I thought she just got training to qualify for bridge command. I dredged up an old topic. So sue me.
  15. I don't know. I think any race advanced enough to travel through space at practical speeds would see violence and war as primitive. I think Star Trek is unrealistic in that regard. But it would be pretty boring if every race were like Vulcans. Maybe the whole surface of the earth is colonized but what about going underground? There's tons of area to colonize underground. I know you don't have to dig down very deep before it gets very hot, but I'm sure there's ways around that. I wouldn't mind living a couple miles underground where noone would bother me.
  16. http://forum.nitescifi.com/index.php?a=topic&t=8326#p1 Edit: It happens when I click on this link too. :)
  17. It must be somethng weird with this forum 'cause it doesn't happen anywhere else. My browser is FireFox but I just tried IE and it happens with that too.
  18. I was just thinking that if people on DS9 had to decontaminate like they do on ENT, Ezri and Leeta decontaminating together would be really hot. You know strippiing down to their uh undergarments and rubbing that cream or whatever it was on eachother. :p
  19. I was really suprised to find out that the guy who sings it isn't Rod Stewert. It really sounds like him. And If you want an idea of what a Star Trek MU series would be like, just watch Blake's 7. At least the episodes with the Federation.
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong but if Star Trek was real the senior officers would almost never go on away misions. The lower ranked crew members would be sent instead. But since the senior officers are the stars of the show, they go on the away missions.
  21. Is anyone eagerly awaiting the premier? It looks interesting to me. I don't know if I wanna get involved in another TV series though.
  22. You mean we gotta wait a whole year? (7.4.7) I remember watching the original cartoon series around 20 yrs ago. OMG was really that long ago?
  23. Well I think religion is a bouch of crap and that it was brought to this planet by aliens from outerspace. And Maybe this messiah is just one of those aliens coming back for some reason. I hope "the end" isn't like that one episode of The Twilght Zone (the 80's version) where this alien arrives who says his people created us along time ago and says the Earth will be destroyed unless everybody can work together or something. Overnight world peace is achieved but the alien says we were created to fight in wars. That episode always scared the crap out of me. I just don't understand how in the 21st or even the 20th century how people living in modern civilazitions can blindly bleive in and worship a god that they have no proof really exisits.

    ENTERPRISE

Dude...I was 13 when TOS came out! I saw all the original EPs. Man! Canon dude...canon! You obviously don't get my point... c4 :stare: Oh, I just re-read what you said and you said between TOS and ENT. I just skimmed that part the first time I guess. I haven't seen an episode of TOS in like 10 years, at least one with a Klingon it (Wait does that one episode of DS9 with the tribbles count? I just saw that a few days ago). So I don't remember exactly what they looked like only that they just wore dark make-up and had bushy eyebrows. But still they prpbably didn't have ridges in TOS for the reasons I said. I guess they could've left them out of ENT though. But I think they put them in ENT for the same reason that that Enterprise looks newer than Kirk's Enterprise. They preferred using modern TV technology over realism.
