  1. After TBBT ended with it's two part grand finale, I was looking for something else to watch, So I started to watch Will Smith's old times when he wasn't Legend, and I can tell it is a good 90's show for any 90's TV fan, still silly old-style comedy show, it contains 6 Seasons of 25 eppys each one, has lots of jokes in every episode, easily hilarious, a soft and still fresh enough return to rap era beginnings. 1. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air I am eager to know of any other comedy shows you may suggest, the ones you are currently watching or the ones you remember it's names.
  2. Yes sure we can... good to see you're back too subspatial. ...It feels good to be back. I have already tested it, it works well, simply fffffantastic! Thanks, nice work TFMF! u know I already saved a pdf copy of the Forums Rankings post using Opera so I can check it back when I am offline too.
  3. Thank you TFMF my pleasure... Special Thnx goes to you Mr. Fox Imho I think you alone deserve all the credit this time, once again you made an excellent work restoring the forum to this point. congratulations! I am going to assume this eventually is going to be the base for a new generation of crew members and candidates for duty serve at The < USS NiteScifi >, Welcome Aboard! & πŸ––live long and prosper! Remember: infinite combinations for infinite possibilities (That's why we love Gene Roddenberry's legacy).
  4. All right, agreed. I'll be around, Thank You, I also have memories of many of you.
  5. This conversation and having back the whole forum working back again remind me that I still miss #nitescifi irc channel, nostalgia? the question is can we bring that back to the future (now) ? ... or definitely it never gonna happen again... I know that we as Trekkies love time paradoxes so do not take me too serious about this wish. Anyway I am formulating my wish and I just gonna wait if the universe with its magick could make my wish come true and if not well I think I can live without it...🌟 (let see what happen). perhaps a new NSF IRC thread ? πŸ˜‰ What do you think guys, any one has something to say about bringing back IRC b2tf ? ... from what I know IRC is still alive* Have you ever heard or have you ever read sometime something about a swiss internet amateur radio program? now is a free program and it seems has integrated IRC support, and that would be outstanding just to mention how mighty piece of software is (one example). (See more about SwissLog at https://www.swisslogforwindows.com/ ). It just makes me think the military still uses IRC, (See also Internet Relay Chat (IRC) - WikiLeaks ). just to have an idea.* Another thing that I have not seen yet is the ranks list, where is it TFMF?
  6. lol not at all subspatial it is more like ubiquity . It only took me 2 more unexpected replies to tell what I was thinking about Sabrina. right now am feeling a little lazy to put all in just one reply. I am glad to find another soul in subspace. (the forum acts somehow like communicating via wormhole to and from a great great distance)
  7. Download and use the aceftp.rar file instead (if your system wants to tag and delete the exe file as a fake positive virus/malware). aceftp.rar

  9. If you like lite magick related tv shows give a watch to BBC's Merlin, but please if you are the king Arthur never get married with the servant maid, and never lie about your magical powers if you are the closest friend of an unbeliever but proud warrior king, Apart from that, the series are iconic with much fantasy and Disney like castles, knights, magick and dragons and many ancient Irish/Old English spells. a very enjoyable fictional magic serie. Two funny word facts about BBC Merlin are 1 it has "cam a lot" and 2 there is also "lance a lot" (lances a lot, lies a lot etcetera).
  10. Btw nowaday 3TB is becoming too short hard drive space, but you can buy another 3TB boxed, never used, sealed new or like new HDD for around $60 on Ebay. I can afford it right now, I just have 1TB hdd extra in a 3.5 inches enclosure, and a 320GB laptop 2.5 inches hdd sata enclosure. I have Charmed seasons 1-8 but I stopped watching at some point in 2nd Season, it is more witchcraft and more witches and more of everything but it is not a disney like teen comedy show like Sabrina is, discrete viewing advised.*
  11. I like Sabrina original series I have all 7 seasons in Spanish in my old and reliable WD MyBook Essential 3TB "Cargo Bay" hard disk, watching other (the new series) would be like watching the first five episodes of FarScape again. I do not recommend that to anyone, would be boring and horrible from bad to worst, but I supose I can try watching ep 1, or just a YouTube vdo to know for sure, it won't kill meh either. (but maybe I use it to fall asleep. after all u no...). "...Zzz zzz zzz."
  12. Thanks to the Eye of Agamotto I can see the past, the future and a brilliant present for all nitescifi followers greetz goes back in time 2u2, old but also renewed e-pallies of mine. I am glad to see the site has this newer, fresh version and is one that has not forgotten its essence too, well done TFMF.
  13. We'll be needing Superman time travel and throw away abilities too.
  14. I saw it (in fuzzy screen res but was good enough :p ) and compared to the new superman it was great and inspirational material for 20 mins of so (after I finished watching it, and then I was day dreaming a lil, not a surprise after another film presenting that another 'dream' of a normal cartoon man becoming a super hero in 3d and with CGI action.( I always compare every super hero movie to the 1970? spiderman climbing a building and this superheroes are indeed getting closer with each time to what the fans expect to see of their superheroes. Since Robocop moviez there has not been nothing alike until now with this one) I would say this movie has to be taked more as a good 3d (game?) superhero remake to the big screen. I watched the end part twice (but yup, I have to admit I have been a fan of a few Marvel's chars for a long time) I still remember when I was for 5yo maybe?? and used to watch the old cartoon TV series of IronMan, Hulk, Captain America, and Thor. Tetsuo is right about the exaggerated "luck" of this aparently not so tuff man for that type of evidently fatal accidents. (an MK 'Fatality' should be the right term to employ "MwaHhaHhaHhaHha" :D) That man certainly seemed more like Wolverine when without his armor suite. The jokes were silly but were just like the ones you find in a comic because i don't think it was originally intended to be an Eddie Murphy's comedy :p.... The 'smarter' dummy AI robot, and the corporate interface OS (the GUI behavior, elements and the skins*) presented for the computing equipment was very appealing for opensource ports to be realesed someday hopefuly... (a little offtopic inquiry: Why the 'end-user' can use cyberdelia alike GUI oses like those of the movies or are they not compliant with FCC/POSIX for residential internet navigation capability limits??? or wut? grr). But I'm relieved knowing at least no 'genius' was murdered after its revolutionary warfare invention by the government or the militia or any secret "Shield" agency this time .
  15. At least I have demonstrated that here there is one person 'luvin' more or less it's FTP client program. :D
  16. ACE Expert FTP simply the best client for windows ever made. I'm still using the 1.2 version but you can ask goggle for "Ace FTP 3.72 FREE. (or look at the screenshots below) Some unmatched features from the old 1.x version: - Really friendly 'paste it twice' ftp address dialog box - Easy to figure out tabbed menus (options menu too) with checkboxes as triggers. - The unregistered version will work everytime you need it, unregistered screen only appears before you close the app. - Right mouse click on any local file item shows the floating menu as if you were in normal ms explorer, no warnings prior deleting an incomplete file. If you or anyone here wants the old version installer (a fake 'patch' with a working installer inside) just pm me.
  17. Star Wars Original Trilogy is a good set of movies or "saga" like LOTR and D&D in it's respective kind with tons on fans and everything else. Star Trek techno-babble has gone ('boldly') beyond of that, with it's more often renewed 'skins' over the series marks somehow the tendency for nowadays techie design of many of our current 21st century gadgets and items. I prefer Princess Leah hairdress, her youth, beauty and royal 'air' in the film, someone could say Capt. Janeway's hairdress was a cheap imitation &)):). This absurd "mugen" encounters may continue indefinitely as follows: Worf vs Chuwacca Data vs C3PO Borg Queen married with Darth Vader? :), JEDI's a "serious threat" to Starfleet Intelligence 'smartie cons'... etcetera. For me the original CommonWealth has enough power to wipe out 10 to 30 Death Stars daily using only 1 Andromeda WarShip for hundred years or so.
  18. I did a rapid search (10 mins or so) about a double mobo case and, according to this 2 links there is not much to be say left. :( http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/archive/index.php/t-2513.html http://www.beowulf.org/archive/2002-February/006147.html But I found this instead and it says: "Build a Hackintosh Mac for Under $800" http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-attack/build-a-hackintosh-mac-for-under-800-321913.php And if I was you, and if you can buy this parts easily within fare price, I would be trying to sell all that on e-?ay or somewhere else, cause I see that a lot lot better than trying to make a dbz "pHEWshan!" :D with two mobos, 2 hard drives, etcetera. But I really dunno if that can be your case, hope this may result useful to you). IΒ΄m willing to make my own hackintosh or if I can collect the parts taking my time, that would certainly count as a major upgrade next time. ;) (the "choosen" one u no B))
  19. WoW (War of The Worlds) TV series season I (and S2 but is not as good as the first one). ItΒ΄s nice if you plan to understand or want to explore better hostile "E.T." cousins aliens and it's typical stupid mad way of proceeding and the roots of the stupid alien chars making and general E.T. life skepticism origins :). A classic now, for many, including me, a must see, and short enough (only 2 seasons available via torrent). 80's fashioned, showing some 80's "good values" too and humour (can be ridiculously hilarious some times) all that is presented through the episodes in a not totally bad plot (for a SF series of that decade). Another not in outer space SF series: The Outer limits 90's TV series, some episodes are good enough to be watched again. (I remember watching this after ST). It's a shame there are no torrents for "The Hitchhiker" TV series( damn not that cops series! named the same, -this maybe a bit offtopic here-) Anyway you have now also some "sticked to the ground" :?: suggestions. If I'd want to start watching other SF series, other than ST, I think would be BSG and Dr Who, "xak less" directive apply :p. (& yeah I must state (talking among other SF* things) that: 1. "Hercules" never had to be beamt down to this primitive planet... :cyclops: and 2. Weasley Crusher as Hercule's "wonder boy" and killed by a mythical chimera monster would have been a more enjoyable thing to watch :D).
  20. Welcome NurseMack glad to find medical personnel here in "seekbabe" (that for Deanna Troy and Dr Crusher, and Daxx ;) The crew of this forum has been infected with the Roddenberry's syndrome :), warp traveling is normal here. :D
  21. I have to check out that Paragon PM one day... thanks TS I recently "phish" my first 320GB seagate "ugly phish" :D Now I have a three floor "building" thing right next to my rear uncovered case, and I made myself a similar question. I started with my SUPERBOOT CD, using Partition Magic for Dos, but it partially stalls before completing the graphical operation, despite of that it does the job in the end. After a 'hard' reset :p. (it was more a 'gently' reset one, I don't panic anymore... maybe for a few seconds :) and I think of me as an expert partitioner) As I was saying, after reseting: It created a big NTFS slice, then I installed XP and all was O.K. After that and once I got the windows desktop I installed Norton Partition Magic 8.05, another very good tool for all the major slicing tasks involving SATA hard drives. But I like Acronis Partition Expert 2003, and I also use it regularly, it seems and actually is faster for several more complex lists of partitioning operations, and can copy my HPFS little partition "naturally" (and any other bsdi, ext3, etcetera) It certainly computes quietly with my needs, well almost... ;D read what follows below to understand why. Acronis seems more like a PTS BootWizard's FDISK remake, and I remember having the one disk floppy Acroni's partitioner for dos in the past, and it was good too (after inserting certain required letters sequence :p after the first time boot with it) What I mean here is with PE Media Builder one can 'build' the floppy version of Acronis PE but I have not been able yet :) to burn any bootable CD. It maybe sound silly but its because I have a DVD-RW unit not just an old CD-RW...Which means if you can have Acronis PE booting from a CD or better, from a DVD: You can have a good partitioning tool that not requires to be in windows to slice your SATA disks the way you want (the floppy version use 4 floppies. BTW I know this topic is a little bit old but my recent experiences with my SATA disk is new, is refreshing to this topic). For the opensource alternative try cfdisk, GParted or Parted Magic programs, and Grub as standalone in a data partition (good for not intermissive and relatively safe multi OS booting) as is described here: http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=147959 (this requires mainly testing on an empty hard disk or virtual hdd, prior to attempt a formal 'final' sliced disk layout, and of course disconnecting as a precaution all hard disks containing your valuable data. (<- not daytah just "dahrah", do you? - do you remembuh? :p "whutavah!" B) u 'TNG walker' :p )
  22. I still refuse the idea of having to change to XP memory requirements, not to say his even bloated descendants... The 'best buy' 'doo-dad' for me this days is to buy a new big hard drive... for less than $100, and a cheap $32-$40... memory upgrade(so you can still use 1 of your old DDRX memory, and if it wasn't because only fat32 remains as the most universal/friendly filesystem for pc's (in my opinion) my second OS choice should be Debian. But let's face it, am still 'afraid' to loose my precious cummule of withsense and nonsense data/bullsh*t stuff in linux formatted filesystems that one can not see only connecting a hard drive and booting from a 98bootdisk or on SD or pendrives. (Why there is not a open source FAT64 or FAT128 fs yet? :). The wheel was and is still round and thus is how it works nice for PC's... they wanted DOS out, and this 'revenge of soft' is also a 'Real-DOS' revenge... For the quick / power tasks I prefer and I will be using my 'Merlin2k' until the last day of its support, history repeating itself again... As Martok would say: "To Stovockov" :P
  23. Seems that any trekie parent that has to take care of children at home, would like to have his own Neelix 'holomatrix' also, to soften things when comes to raising the children. Certainly I would be interested, cause am not precisely "Popeye" and still I have three nephews to watch more or less various days, every week :). I would be very grateful with Neelix without a doubt for his games and stories telling, and a price worthy program if he can cook also, (better than do it yourself) , or you can buy a better alternative: buy the female with Kazz version and your done man! your problems are over, (not the mad Kazz one or pity of you, you'd be in serious trouble. ;) ) Holo-rights? What about them?? ;). The sad part of it is that you know you'll gonna need the full holosuite one day :P, I doubt that 'upgrade' will cost as cheap as GPL ||500.- :cyclops:
  24. M.U.T.F.E.N. By Lee Lara Open M.U.T.F.E.N] 'Wars' engine IDE? (for making RPGs/Strategy 'OG' Games like SRW 'OG') I had an idea after playing SRW 'OG' on my computer, and comparing the M.U.G.E.N. engine and I thought why, instead of having to program games for consoles we just modify the M.U.T.F.E.N. engine (Multi Universe or Multiverse Timeline's Fusion Engine) to create a variety of wonderful Strategy/RPGs games like those of Super Robot Wars. If the East make it why here the West can't do the same or improve the whole thing? πŸ™‚ Imagine just adding sequences of video (for the demos) and sound in mp3 like M.U.G.E.N. already does, and tons of little characters with a mixed up plot, maybe SD characters, maybe Star Trek SD (original characters OG contributed and uploaded by users to not have any legal problem, don't think about 'Barbie' wars if your a girl and would like to see Barbie and Bratz doll wars lol, mattel can sue you only for naming it 'barbecue dollz wars' just because the first 5 letters 'barbe' :). Same goes with many greedy people that possibly may could see these open source original characters (Original Fan art Generation sagas) created by users around the world as a violation to their property, but not if it is original fan art, samples of good original things its mp3 format and p2p original protocol napster, but i. e.: I decide that i want to make my own Original Game with original OST and clips and assemble it into the 'MUTFEN WARS' engine. (A GPL or some license that fits properly to let the gamers and programmers to freely add characters and features as plugins until perfectioning a great computer engine that will have in the end nothing to envy to their console games counterparts). As I was saying I have my own game or homebrew characters, then I have given animated moves (an easy way to do this for dummy/casual gamer or not programmers will be a set of rules for the standard character images sizes/depth, and an easy character drawing/builder for the user developer of the games, an IDE for character and movements, one that enables the user to do at the end little video clips for the demos, and easy adding of sound clips, like a storyboard program, and also backgrounds or wallpapers for interlude between stages/plot story and finally a stage/scenarios builder and you have it all man, to create wonderful M.U.T.F.E.N. Strategy 'Wars' games, the 'M.U.T.F.E.N. WARS IDE' has to have also an open source kind of "Delphi" transcoder to easy port the resulting source that assembles the history with your sounds and clips, and all to .pas or .cpp to other platforms, but the simple C++ sub routines that join the story with the gameplay would be the main thing here, also the up-loaders or submitters could upload also entire 'expansion pack' or chapters, including a plot or sequel story to the ones they most enjoyed, but review and adapted in the official release with the major highlights but leaving the original as and option that can be played as a different timeline of events/plot). All these takes us to starting a project on Sourge Forge or something. I was thinking that if I only had such MUTFEN Wars chars IDE, anyway here some examples of games that could be created (with original characters by fans [fan-art] chars). -All times's SF Series/Movies Characters animated 'wars' game -All times's LOTR Wars(including many characters from other movies of the genre) -Famous/Celeb/Sport Celeb Anime (Multi Universe Timeline's Fusion is an alternate acronym to not imply wars when it's not needed) -Mario/Wario Wars -M.AM.E.(Multi Arcade chars Wars) -etcetera, etc.- And just about any old and new anime/(or not animated if you want) sorted and mixed according to similar type of series/chars you could think of. Just remember your game will really suck if you remove the fun from it when making it too realistic with an engine not designed to do such thing, simple old skool 2D for the demos and basic 3d for the map/stage designer. I think it hasn't to be so hard these days to generate a code and a RAD gaming engine that can do that simple things of sorting a story/creating chars with a map builder (1 mountain here, 3 trees there, 1 sun here, 2 planets there if it's in the space, many add-ons for different environments could be user contributed, mountains, desert, space, guns, magic, powers, shoots, blasts, and combos that should be customized in color and dimension and how many secs also, that would be creating one of the best super RPGs/Strategy engines) 2d objects(shoots) builder for the demo 'on' playing mode, and an easy translator for the engine story/plot system, not over bloated of useless menus/screens for the game, just the ones the game needs like the, that goes for the IDE too, simple, fast, pretty and friendly to both users/developers/ gaming interface to develop Multiverse Fusion RPGs/Strategy games(advanced or crazy gamer interface to tweak could be a 'switch to' option, also custom skins and plugins(sort kind of game genie or 'mutfengenie' :)). If you are a developer just don't make it awful to the user making it impossible or too long to learn, it has to be something simple and easy to use, that any user within a few hours (2 or 3) have chars for the game ready to include/play with (even a feature for creating an avatar of one self and being able to use it should be included, music and voices joiner /splitter audio plug-in would be nice when translating char voices/music, why have to listen it in Japanese or Swedish for example if we could hear it in other languages? :)) Last but not least M.U.T.F.E.N. in that specific term results my idea, so I could say that it belongs to me, and I'll be legally correct, and thus being so that anyone else can make other quite similar or different thing using that other name, my author rights are only important when I think this could lead to someone making games and selling them to make a fortune using my ideas and abusing the pocket of the pc gamer in ported console versions. So if you are a open source game programmer and want to use the M.U.T.F.E.N. name ask me at least because I really don't want to be indirectly forced to pay for my own idea after I give it freely to the open source community , that's what I mean πŸ˜‰ you can e-mail me or send me a pm here if your a greedy game making company too. πŸ˜› and found so useful and profitable my concept, am inn :cyclops: you can count on that greedy part >:D, πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜› but there has to exist the open source part as well, only to be sure no one is gonna take "by force" unnecessary cash from your pockets.;D Read at the end of this post for further legal status and blah blah of the legal stuff that it involves. M.U.T.F.E.N. by Lee Lara Copyright 2008-2009 All Rights Reserved.- 'Open M.U.T.F.E.N.' is declared as an "open source concept" for RPGs/Strategy games development RAD/IDE/Engine. I Lee Lara as the former author of this concept I declare it: I'm giving from this date and post time the whole 'Open M.U.T.F.E.N.' source concept 'AS IS' presented here to the E.F.F. (Electronic Frontier Foundation), for any legal instances that posibbly this concept may found someday and it's realesed freely and for the good of the open source game developers and user comunity around the world. License(s) permission for non-commercial use to independent open source developers using the concept. M.U.T.F.E.N. Patent is pending. Any other use of this concept is misguided and unwanted, unethical and was not originally intended nor suggested when the author conceived this concept, thus being considered a direct violation of the author's rights, who has been extensive and explicit to protect it from pernicious individuals or groups using it to commit commercial abuses forcing the final (computer game) users pocket. Use instead Open M.U.T.F.E.N. concept which is the same but only for non commercial developer and game makers, and has being already given to the open source community and is now a legal property of the E.F.F. as Lee Lara (the author) himself has expressed above. Related link: (but different: M.U.G.E.N. a 2D fighting engine) [wiki]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.U.G.E.N.[br]Posted on: February 03, 2008, 03:53:36 PM Hi everybody reading or trying to figure out the idea behind my little typo πŸ™‚ Since this M.U.T.F.E.N post I started an extensive research on S-RPG games and GAME devel, I even have the original srw gb roms and I plan to play them on my Kyocera smartphone. I will be updating this post from time to time with new links and other related info. Here is a pic of SRW 'OG'2 95 for the gameboy, the main title screen, some super and real robot battle screenshots, the original 'intermission menu' and also a very tiny upgrading unit screen (There was not yet a mute sound option within the game either a demo off mode (A bit annoying after some time, but still a 'must have' for the mobile phone of any SRW fan). Now btw there is also a project on sourceforge called [nixishname] 'mufen' (altough am only an amateur game developer, but am still very good surfing the web and finding the clues, to create a similar game, engine or homebrew hacks, so if you like to program in any language you prefer and want to contribute some source code, or util or art content to that end of 'mufen' that is no other than creating a S-RPG editor but oriented more like an scripted based engine or M.U.G.E.N a not just fighting clone for creating games like SRWa but with customized plots chars and effects is welcome and now officially invited to contrib. Following is a 'Power Game Development & Reversing' and other cool RPG devel general interest links list: I will be updating this later, you can also add some if you want, just reply new ones (Disclaimer:Only intended and presented here for educational purpouses.) 25. ya boo?? :( They are not doing charity with that jobs either. many non-techie ppl could do some jobs there, but first to have a job there you pay for the certification right or license square piece of paper, that's a common case, I dunno it could be different, the thing in that first case is you are now a 'registered certified' ms worker, that's the difference, you pay for it, you have it...it's simple as that. Still better than a company not offering any job... if it pays your bills thats reason enogh to defend it. However going the to the PreGUIstory GEM and the Atari little green desktop were cool for that age, Don't you think? :D but that's another timeline...Linux is not communism was the analog response from the cyberspace 'citizens' to equilibrate the voracity of certain computing 'golems' and 'monsters' of the industry. Where is Open TV for example ? even Gates could not convince that monster. but this topic was about the offer of MS to Yahoo not about the OS wars, it concerns to me my opinion (and to my NSF rank :p) but I do respect kyran's point of view about it. Many good coders efforts produced MS Windows office and MSN messenger, also the recorder app for win3x was nice for its time, MS deserves that part, the code itself no matterhow has its value, but was too close so open source did come to save that breach.
