  1. Happy B-Day KonradV, collective2, JustinC7, cliffboss
  2. Let's not forget the "gems" from season 1 such as Strange New World, Terra Nova, and Vox Sola. These episodes were utterly painful to watch! Most of season 1, in fact, made me feel this way. At the same time, each subsequent season was better... by the time season 4 came around, nearly every episode was fantastic! (With the obvious exception of the series finale... what were they thinking with that one?)
  3. This question goes out to my fellow Canadians (because I am not sure whether or not this DVD player is available outside Canada): What do you guys think about the LG LDA-530? It's available at Futureshop, and it has caught my eye. It seems quite good, and many people seem to prefer it over the Philips DVP 642. What do you guys think?
  4. You have the right to be confused because those two episodes were totally random. They are referred to as "Mirror Universe Episodes", and hence, they have nothing to do with continuity of the Enterprise series. You gotta admit though, they were quite fun. That "Evil Hoshi" was quite hotttt!
  5. I just finished DS9 7x25-26! That is, I just finished all of Deep Space 9 in order! All that remains is for me to watch ST:TOS is order and I'll have seen every single episode of Star Trek ever!
  6. THESE ARE JUST A SELECT FEW: TNG - The Offspring, Data creates an android daughter TNG - The Inner Light, Picard relives the life of a member of a apecies that is long-extinct Enterprise - Dear Doctor, Doctor Phlox must decide whether to intervene in the development of an alien species DS9 - (Don't remember name), The one where Dukat's daughter is killed Voyager - Blink of an Eye
  7. I am a BIG Harry Potter and Star Trek nut, and I can say for sure that Harry Potter ain't sci-fi. ...But that doesn't mean I don't like HP any less. ;)
  8. This is freaking hilarious! Well said!
  9. Let's not get too deeply involved with the Daleks vs. Species 8472 issue. Let's look at the basic fact that a Dalek is a rolling tin can that just plain looks cheesy whereas a Species 8472 just looks cooler... It should come as no surprise that I voted for Species 8472.
  10. This is a very good thread, but I would like to get an answer with respect to Linux Media Players. I tried Media Player Classic, but it didn't work on Ubuntu Linux 5.04. I tried VLC on Ununtu, but it does not allow me to configure aspect ratios (e.g. 4:3). I used the default Totem Media Player that comes with Ubuntu, but it just plain sucks! What does one use for LINUX!!!???
  11. "It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'." What the hell does that even mean?!
  12. "To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great journey."
  13. I was in the same boat as you because I had never seen any of the older episodes of Doctor Who either. So I said what the heck and started watching the new 2005 Doctor Who eps. I must say I loved them and am planning to check out the older ones as well very soon. So to sum up, START WITH THE NEW (2005) STUFF!
  14. quick question: how do I get this Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool? When I checked under Manage Add-Ons in IE, I didn't find it.
  15. Holy crap! I hope you do become an Evil Overlord! ;)
  16. When you say high bandwidth, what exact numbers are you talking about?! I'm very curious to find that out...
  17. They can't seriouly make Star Trek 11 take place only 5 years in the future, can they? What the F*** is wrong with these guys? I am super pissed at the whole lot of them!
  18. I like the car speedometer stuff! Pretty fun, and the results seemed accurate to the best of my knowledge... I download at about 250 KB/s and upload at 60 KB/s. All in all, thanks for the heads up str82u! ;)
  19. OK, granted, "The Doctor" from Voyager had a few great episodes that were devoted to him. Examples include "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor Spy" and "Message in a Bottle". However, I still feel that Phlox is my guy. He may not have had many episodes solely devoted to him, but he's a charming and fun guy. (I believe "A Night in Sickbay" and "Dear Doctor" were the only ENT eps. specifically devoted to him.) I would feel more at ease being treated by Phlox than any of the others. This is not to say Enterprise is my favorite series, for that is and always will be TNG. Still, Beverly Crusher never rubbed me the right way.
  20. AWESOME! I love Futurama too!!! "Bite my shiny metal ass!" ;)
  21. You are the weakest link. Goodbye! ;)
