kyran
[quote. Anyone ever watched 'Galaxyquest'? Especially the convention scene where that poor kid confronts Jason Nesmith/Cmdr.Taggart about the continuity errors he noticed and he yells "There is no "quantum flux". There's no "auxiliary". THERE'S NO GODDAMNED SHIP. You got it?" str82u
Yes. Very good description of the book. After 30+ years of being known as the crew of a short lived, but popular, TV series, the whole bunch probably had bad days. Just like Galaxy Quest, which I agree is funny as hell, fans can probably be just as frustrating as any customer in a store.
Guest c4evap
"Gorrignak means Rock..." "Maybe you could find a weak spot" "ITS A ROCK IT DOESNT HAVE ANY WEAK SPOTS" sorry but galaxy quest is just hilarious ;p From the online script. Jason is in a FULL OUT RUN being chased by the ROCK MONSTER which STOMPS forward, DEMOLISHING everything in its path. ALEXANDER: Fred's no good, Jason. You're going to have to kill it JASON: KILL IT? Well I'm open to ideas!... TOMMY: Go for the eyes. Like in episode 22 with- JASON: It doesn't have eyes. TOMMY: The throat, the mouth... Its vulnerable spots. JASON: It's a ROCK. It doesn't HAVE vulnerable spots! GUY: I know... You contruct a weapon. Look around, can you form some sort of rudimentary lathe?... JASON: A LATHE??? Get off the line, Guy.' The monster's shadow falls over Jason.. JASON: ALEXANDER??? PLEASE? You're my advisor, advise me! ALEXANDER: ... . Well you have to figure out what it wants... What's its motivation? JASON: It's a DAMN ROCK MONSTER!!! It doesn't HAVE motivation! Damn funny sh!t. My favorite scifi comedy - best ever (IMHO). I watch it at least 3 times a month. c4 B)
queenhank
Galaxy quest is, in my book, one of the greatest movies ever made.
