Ulysses
***Possible Spoilers*** Yeah I know this aint Sci-fi but after coming back from the movies with the G/F I thought it was worth saying how much better Craig is better as bond than Brosan ever was. This film even thou 2 hour long is great, darker than past bond films, and also touching as well towards the end... Better not say to much more but its well worth watching !! Hilander72
Haven't had the time to go and watch the new Bond, yet. :( (working this weekend) I has received mixed reviews, but most agree that the new Bond is more 'Bond'. .............. Couldn't help notincing Lucifer in your sig. (watched any Original Battlestar recently ;)) I made this avatar last year featuring Lucifer and another with Muffet:

I think you can tell i do like this series just a ickle bit lol
Tenebrae
I... don't see how being two hours long would stop a film being great? I've not seen it yet... and I probably won't bother, it's been absolutely inescapable on TV and I'm sick of hearing about it.
TFMF
To be honest - i feel James Bond has past it's time. There have been so many different movies and so many different Bonds. How many regenerations does Bond have left? :stare: Many of the older movies were great but the stories get a bit repetitive and obvious after a time. I might go in and see Casino Royal or i might just wait till it's aired on TV. (By which time a new Bond movie will no doubt be in production ;) )

As for being repetitive i doubt it if anything is more repetitive that would be star trek.
Centurion
I haven't seen the new Bond movie yet, but I've heard only positive reviews so far, which is a good sign. I guess the "going back to its roots" strategy has paid off after all. The previous movies with Brosnan were really getting overrun with special effects. For God's sake, the guy had even a cloaked car in the last film!
TetsuoShima
I used to like Bond movies, was a big fan of the Connery Bond movies, if I hear you all talking, I think this may be one I have to go watch again. :)

Antipodean
He looks like a sucky Bond at best. For me...it's Connery! Have u seen the movie yet? Seriously Daniel Craig is one of the BEST Bonds yet, and Casino Royale is an excellent, fresh take on the Bond franchise - looks to me like a reboot. And it's great to see Bond humanised - but not in a crappy overdramitised way, or such that it detracts from his "Bondness", its just that he's more complete now, more real and credible and less like the caricature that 007 had become in the last couple of decades of Bond movies. Soval
I thought Brosnan was the best Bond since Connery. I'll need to see this new film to compare the new Bond to Brosnan.

No. I haven't seen the movie. My statement was based on the fact that when I look at Connery...my pants simply melt off (if ya get my drift) ;) This new guy...does nada for me (or my hormones). OT side note: Just saw Cruise in Mi3. WOW! Better than the first 2 (IMHO). c4 B)

Megalith
I went to school with Daniel Craig he was in the year below me, so i didn't know him well. Out of the kids in school with me was an Olympic gold medalist (Chris Boardman cycling) and James Bond lol hmmm not too much to live upto then lol. My fav bond ironically wasn't English either, he was Australian, George Lazenby, On her majesty's secret service had everything a bond film should have and who can forget the snow plow lol. my 2nd fav is Roger Moore and Live and Let Die my fav of his, all that hoodoo with the voodoo was so good. As for the new one i dont think he looks like bond and he sure didnt back in school lol but from what i have seen from the fim it looks good. dabrood
For me the movie just didn't "click". After the 80-minute-mark I started to lose track of the story (along with about 60% of the audience) and the whole thing lost steam. If the best part of a movie are the first 20 or so minutes, something's just not right.
