They should bring back Takei, Koenig and Nichols for sure in the new movie. It would be awesome to see them playing characters that are towards the end of their professional starfleet/civilian careers.

I think Enterprise was a bit of a hit and miss show. They just tried stuff and hoped it would work out in the end. What we got was a series with great potential and some really great episodes but some of it did not make sense. Soval going from distrusting Archer to suddenly liking him? And what about Admiral Forrest and hios sudden aboutface in season four when he yelled at Archer? These were odd things to occur in such a short timespan. I would have preferred Enterprise going on exploration missions instead of tactical, political and rescue missions. It just got a little bland after a while. When the show started I was all pumped up for it. I stayed enthusiastic for the whole first season. Season two got a little slow at first but started to get better towards the end of the season. Season three was one-big gigantic story arc that turned out ok but showed that the writers didn't really know what to do with the series. Season four was good but got a little violent for my taste. By the time season four ended I was like, yeah I remember that series, it used to be good but now I'm just waiting for the new star wars movie. Season four of enterprise was ok, it had some really good episodes but looking back I don't think it was good enough to save a sagging series like that. Even now I don't think it could have gone on the way season four wrapped up.

We can only hope that the new movie will be good. Having Shatner and Nimoy would increase fan enthusiasm for the movie. Bringing Kirk back after what happened in Generations would be welcomed I think by fans overall.

I hope the new movie is good and that they follow the canon. It's not star trek if they have the crew firing turbolasers instead of phasers.

Captain's Chair, now that's a game I haven't heard of in a long time, a long time. I'm surprised it works at all in winXP, hence why I think win98 is good to have around for these things. I've been trying to get Starship Creator working for a while now but no version seems to work with XP. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

Is BFII multiplayer stable? If so, I wouldn't mind giving it a try one day.

I recommend win98. It was much more stable than win95 and from what I learned it was much more stable than winME. I still use win98 and I actually prefer it to winXP. As for Vista, I don't think I'll be upgrading to that system for some time to come.

Sounds like a DS9 remake to me. Why not put this proposed season four into season one?

Sounds like a plan to me. Perhaps we could also consider unreal tournament (demo works too!) as it also runs on a wide variety of systems and is very user friendly.

I'm not very excited about the idea of young kirk, mccoy and spock. Just shows they don't have any new ideas.

Ugh, now I have to ask my question again. An old buddy of mine said that 2 years ago or so you only needed 250 posts to get to captain and when you made your first post on the forum you started out as ensign, not recruit. I think I remember what the mods said here as to why they were changed and that's fine, no worries about that. I am curious, especially after reading the history of this site on the one page here, to know what the post requirements were for each rank and what the ranks were back then. I think it would be an interesting addition to the Niteshdw history page.

Myself I prefered the original scene. Notice how old Anakin was actually happy and smiling unlike Hayden Christensen's infamous Frankenstein look? They actually sold the original pre-special edition original trilogy back in the fall and I must admit it is great! For computer users that is, the quality is laserdisc only and it has this weird smudge on the left hand side. Otherwise this DVD collection is great for viewers. (looks best on computer though). The episode III novel has Palpatine reveal a dark secret about the Plagus guy story. I won't tell you what it was because it would spoil it. You must read it to see. (Sorry)

Best game of 2006? Hmm... I'd say CounterStrike Source. Played it with friends and thought it was cool. I never played it on my computer though. Worst game of 2006? I never tried it but I don't think Star Trek Legacy is winning any awards or popularity contests. It just looks so much like a Bridge Commander remake. If I'm wrong do say so because I am a Trek fan and would gladly try this one out.

I have an old nVidia 127mb card. It works so well I'd be surprised if it can't handle the new games. Hmm, I should probably ask... What games will not work on a 128mb video card? If I decide to buy a new video card, what technology will I need to look for?

How do these clans work anyway? I've heard a lot about them but I never knew how they worked. Is it fun? Sorry if I'm asking too many of these questions.

I think Voyager did astronomically well for being able to desgin and build a new shuttlecraft.

I would definitely agree that Battlefront II has some issues when it comes to jedi battles but I was pretty impressed by the idea of taking off in a fighter, breaking into an enemy ship and causing havoc. You are right though that the interior of the ships could have been bigger. The jedi action left much to be desired in my opinion. They responded to commands sluggishly and too much like game consoles, and not enough like FPS games. I would have liked playing the jedi battles from the movies in the game because the jedi were beautifully rendered in really nice graphics thanks to the advanced game engine. I know it may be obsolete now but for the purposes of star wars it was good.
