For those that just can't ever have enough knowledge.

UC Berkeley has just created its own YouTube channel.

They've uploaded a lot of nice free lectures on a variety of subjects (physics/bioengineering/search engines/...), mostly they aren't high level lectures, but interesting nonetheless and free. Some 200 videos are available now, but I suspect more will be available in the future.

Enjoy! :)

I wouldn't expect high level, surely its about packaging content with a view for the masses - not necessarily dumbing down, but there obviously is a market especially considering the number of people who bought Stephen Hawkins a Brief History of Time compared to those who continued to read it after an initial glance

I like the idea of posting lectures on youtube. That way I can learn more about physics and chemistry without the trouble of attending classes.

The problem is when you start seeing people who know more than the students who are actually attending classes and getting their degrees. In the end we'll all end up having to get PhDs just to get ahead.

'but I have a masters in physics.'

'Not high enough. need have doctorate of physics.'
