  1. Yes they are big finish.
  2. If you read Timewyrm: Exodus you find that he did begin to regenerate but something went wrong and the regeneration aborts midway. But he isn't killed by the energy blast.
  3. I thought we might want to discuss the BBC7 Eighth Doctor audios. So here is a thread to discuss the first two, Blood of the Daleks 1 and 2. I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet so I can't comment yet, but what of the rest of you?
  4. Alternatively... The Other was there when regeneration was created during the old time. The Other threw himself into the loom. The Doctor was loomed from the Other's DNA and subconciously posesses his memories as seen in Remembrance of the Daleks. The Doctor could just convieniently remember how to give himself a new life cycle. Or... The massive temporal ebergy release that the Doctor used to destroy the Daleks and Gallifrey some how reset his regenerative cycle making Ecclestone effectively the second Doctor of the new cycle. Or... The new master of the land of fiction drags the Doctor back to that realm and in the process of escaping the Doctor writes himself a new cycle of regenerations. Or... Well, you get the point... They can do just about anything the want, but if they use any of my ideas I'd better at least get a screen credit. ;)
  5. :o I just perused the n list on page 36 and was shocked to not see... Napoleon Having just recently reread the novelization of the Reign of Terror his name stuck in my head but I figured he'd been used, after all he is a significant historical figure as well as a character in that story.
  6. Have we had.... Nucleus (of the swarm) from the Invisible Enemy?
  7. But, what if the absorbtion of the temporal forces that keep Jack in flux resets the nanites that trigger regeneration and thereby give him a complete new cycle if not permanent regenerative abilities.
  8. Or he could absorb whatever is keeping Capt. Jack from dying. Thereby curing Jack and granting himself continued existance.
  9. Actually I think he's listed on the call sheets as "Annoying boyfriend who clearly has issues and should have been dropped ages ago."
  10. I beleave that some are calling Torchwood fans "woodies".
  11. Suppose, just suppose, that the limit on regeneration was something imposed by the Time Lords to prevent further Stagnation of their society and now that they no longer exist there is nothing to prevent the Doctor from continuing to regenerate.
  12. Maybe they all get slaughtered in the first episode and that is why Martha travels with the Doctor. You never know.
  13. Of, course....the one country that doesn't disband their military could walk all over everyone else. ;)
  14. Susan has one of the Master's TARDISes. She obtained it when she zapped him on Tersurus turning him into the decayed master seen in Deadly Assassin. Am I the only one who reads the novels?
  15. Randomizer - can't believe it hasn't been used yet.
  16. Voted for Girl in the Fireplace because of the 4 stories I thought were best it wasn't something I'd seen or heard about before. Unlike: School Reunion (I wrote a similar story over a decade ago) Impossible Planet/Satan pit (Didn't Tom Baker and Ian Marter want to do a movie about the Doctor meeting the Devil back in the 70's?) Army of Ghosts/Doomsday (I wrote one similar to this story too, as the Eighth Doctor's final story) So it seems to me that the production team is swipimg ideas (especially ones that I've already had).
  17. I Can't remeber if I used it or not, but I'm sure stitch will tell me. Reticular Vector Gauge
  18. I too am thinking Davros. I'm also thinking from this universe and not the other. I foresee a few of the alt Cybers somehow surviving and being incorporated into the Mondasian/Telosian Cybermen. This would then have the desired effect of removing that stupid Gold allergy. Rose cold be fatally radiated and narrating the story as she waits to snuff it. My dad, who worked in a Nuclear Power Plant, used to tell me that when he went into the containment building he considered himself dead until he was back outside of it. This was because if something happens when you are in there, they lock you in to make sure that no radiation escapes and that means you'll die. Maybe she's locked in something waiting to die from radiation poisoning or lack of air or food or water or whatever.
  19. Once again I have to say, how does the new Who hater know so much in advance? Cypha, you are a paradox.
  20. Yet another attempt to force this thread back on topic: I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. Lots of escapist fun. Numerous references to the first two films. Nothing in it to contradict the third and Fourth films but no direct references to them. Plus it was nice to see Lex do some major damage to old Supes in the process.
  21. That would be United Flight 93 (assuming that by "filed" you mean field.) Why do they bug you? There is some evidence that would seem to indicate that the "alleged" take back was attempted. Granted those movies are pretty much completely fictitious as no one knows what happened on that plane. But why should they bug you? It's not like anyone is strapping you down and forcing you to watch them and if someone is you have much bigger problems.
