Of course songs are about 3 to 4 minutes, a episode of startrek 40, so they'd probably charge a 10 dollar minimum for episodes... That's what I think though.. But if it were going to cost 1 dollar, I wouldn't mind paying it...

One more prob... Movies with too many leading characters tend to be slow or shallow, and to appeal to everyone you can't say, well TNG crew the most time and VOY and DS9 come in a short time, then the whole effect of them working together would be gone... So basically, nice idea, but aint gonna happen...

It was said in the film 'Contact', where there was contact bu no-one believed it... I think it'll be like that for real, we grasp time as linear, but who's to say that other races can't find ways to bend it?

There are billions and billions of starsystems... If only one in a million of them have planents, and only one in a million of those have planets that could support life. Of them, only one in a million really do support life and only one in a million has life and only one in a million have intelligent life... My, what a vast number of intelligent life forms would there be... So how could anyone in their right minds say that we are alone??? Just because no-one has contacted us? We really don't have the right technology ourselves, so why should we expect others to have that? For all we know, we're the eldest of intelligent life forms... If only we could forsee the far future, I'm not talking 24th century, but 29th or so... I bet by then we have the technology to really go out there... Not just our solar system, but beyond...

It is cancelled for sure, the message on saveenterprise was dated januari 29th, whereas yesterday februari 2nd they confirmed the cancellation of the series. Good thing is, they are going to finis this season, so a sound finale will be written (or at least I hope it'll be a sound finale). On startrek.com it also states that the future of the startrek franchise is uncertain at best... They presently have no plan to begin another series, nor are there concrete plans for a movie YET... Paramount has thanked Rick Berman a.o. for their years of support... sounds to me they are letting them go... It's a said day indeed, the end of an era, the end of a noble series, started long ago by Gene Roddenberry, and loved around the world... perhaps, in another 20 or so years, someone will come up with a new series, but it doesn't look like we'll be seeing it any time soon.... Grieve with me brothers......

You can't compare AMD 64 processors with Intel P4, Intel is 32 bit and AMD 64 bit, that's like comparing apples and pears...

Intel is focussing on raw Ghz, something that AMD can't, they can't make a processor running on the speeds of Intel, but AMD's processors work more efficient and more effective per clock cycle, so the outcome is somewhat thesame, now if someone could combine the two, we'd have a definate winner... But for now, I'm voting Intel, I worked in a computershop two years ago, in the AMD XP time. AMD's temperatures were always up in the 40's (Celcius) while Intel ran at 28-30 degrees Celcius... And, I never had a single Intel chip returned, but I had a complete collection of DOA and OC victims, all AMD's, even after their improved core, temperatures and stability were not up to intels standards. For the record, I have two machines at home, my regular PC with an Intel 2.8 HT (running SETI@home) and one with an AMD Sempron 2500, I love the AMD machine for gaming, but all other things I do on the Intel... For now at least...

If I'm not mistaken, only Picard and Kirk ever said boldly go where no-one has gone before... And if I had to pick who to give command over my starship, it would be Picard, because he's not reckless. Boldly going and reckless are not the same, where with Kirk you can hardly see the difference... (he says so himself in Star Trek: Generations...)

Could it be anyone else? Of course not, it's Picard who gets my vote...

Too bad we have to start over with all of the ranking and stuff... Was well on my way to Lt. Commander, now I'm demoted back to Ensign, but hey.... On topic, energy weapons, for sure!
