  1. However, more advanced does not mean better. Remember that the Galactica has computer systems that are not networked, making it a lot less likely that the Cylons will hit the Galactica with a virus. Remember, it took networking the Galactica's computer for the Cylons to be able to introduce a virus.
  2. From what I gather, from watching various episodes, that the Cylons are cloned. For Ressurrection ships, it makes more sense for them to ship fully developed bodies. However, it appears that on Caprica, they prefer to generate a clone from scratch. This makes sense, as while they may only need a few here and there around the fleet, they'd need the flexibility back on Caprica.
  3. Here's the issue with that argument. Cable doesn't charge you for shows. It charges you for choice. If you want to be able to access certain channels, you have to pay for the access. It's just like the internet, as you pay for ACCESS, not content. However, therein lays a problem in and of itself. Cable companies charge high prices for this access. But, I don't watch ESPN, Oxygen, or 90% of the other channels. Most of what I watch is some of the movie channels, Sci Fi Channel, and several Discovery Channels. However, I have to pay for these channels, which is a waste. But, there are groups working to change this.
  4. Everybody's cute! Everybody's cute! Even me. But in purple, I am STUNNING! *Falls face first*
  5. No, that's the secret of why we are here! :p
  6. In the various episodes, it is made clear that each model is given a number. All Sixes look alike. All Eights look alike. There are only 12 human model Cylons. This does not include the Cylon Mk 1, which is the original human made walking chrome toasters. It also does not include the newer buckets or the raiders.
  7. Well, the fact is that in the original BSG, the Pegasus was gone because Cain felt he had to strike back hard, and did everything in his power to force Adama's hand. But, in the new one, Cain is dead, and they seem to be using more conservative military strategy. Of course, when you aren't going to be able to have replacement cruisers, especially military ships, each and every one would be conserved. In other words, the battlestars right now would be used to cover the fleet as it jumped, then the battlestars would jump to safety. Or as in Scar, one Battlestar would protect the main fleet, while the other would remain behind with a mining operation, and gather desperately needed resources. Not on suicide attack runs.
  8. This would have to depend on the terms of usage for the place. Is it unlimited downloads, or a set limit of downloads per month? Unlimited content, or extremely limited content? If unlimited content and unlimited downloads, I would pay no more than $10 a month. More than that, and I could get a netflix pass
  9. Gee, and the security officers are joining in! I am having my doubts as to if this will ever get locked.
  10. Is this the secret to happiness?
  11. I normally don't do these. However, this one is important, not only for now, but for the future. So I signed on for this one, and urge others to do the same.
  12. Made First Master Chief Petty Officer. Woohoo!!!
  13. Currently, I own a GBA, which does run all older games. From the forums I have read, this feature is supposed to be in the DS. The connection is the exact same, just more information as you get to the modern game boy games.
  14. Which one was the worst? All of them, IMHO. It just wasn't really Star Trek.
  15. For one, Adama read a note that was printed on a piece of paper, folded and left in his quarters. Someone, most likely Sharon, left this in his quarters. Also, he recieved this note AFTER the attack on the twelve colonies. Therefore, they were not aware the cylons even had the capabilities they did. As far as they knew, the cylons were still the walking chrome toasters. Baltar even said so when Caprica Six revealed what she really was.
  16. I agree. multiple redundancies should be a mandatory thing, along with enough escape pods to cover 1.5 times the capacity of the ship or station. However, once multiple stations are in orbit, you won't need to have reentry pods for stations. All one would need is just to get to the next closest station. This could even be automated.
  17. Actually, the oil barons WANT to run out of oil. Look at Hurricane Katrina. When the gas supply dropped, the prices surged upwards, and the companies got record profits. They WANT us to remain hooked on gas. They WANT to keep us paying whatever we can. Otherwise, they'd go the way of the dodo
  18. Well, that's how the MPAA will ensure that you don't last long. Far easier for them to slurp your bandwidth to the point that you can't function than to frak around with suing you.
  19. Well, My full online name is Magestorm Allgoode. Mage, because I know too bloody much for my own good. Storm for the fact when someone pushes my buttons too much, I tend to get really torqued off. But usually, everything's all good!

    Time Cube

Mmmmmm. Needles in eyes. Anyways, I took the time to read about half of what is on the site. It just repeats over and over what you'd get in about the first 3 pages. It's an endless, unformatted rant. While some may be attracted to this, I find it sickening. As a writer, I really go frakking ape when I see some slob throwing that kind of tripe on the web. Let's hope he doesn't have kids. That kind of stupidity is bad for the gene pool.
