Since these things are quite subjective I thought I'd try something slightly different this year. Here goes: Your favorite game of 2006? Your least favorite game of 2006? The most over-rated game of 2006? The most Under-rated game of 2006? The one thing in the gaming world that surprised you the most in 2006? Which would you want to see under your tree? Xbox 360, Wii or the Ps3? What games are you excited about for PC/Wii/360/PS3 in the upcoming year? If anyone has any other categories to suggest then feel free to post them. Normally this would be a tough one but this year it's a slam dunk for me. Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 runner up - Warhammer 40,000- Dawn of War: Dark Crusade Your least favorite game of 2006? You know what, I didn't really play any games this year that I disliked unless you count the Madden football. The most over-rated game of 2006? There wasn't anything special about the most recent Madden football game despite what some of the gaming fanboys try to tell people. The most Under-rated game of 2006? Warhammer 40,000 - Dawn of War: Dark Crusade for the Pc seems to have slipped by many folks. The one thing in the gaming world that surprised you the most in 2006? It's really 2 but they're both related and that is the success of the Wii and the dislike my many of the PS3. I honestly felt it would be the opposite for the 2 new consoles. Which would you want to see under your tree? Xbox 360, Wii or the Ps3? Xbox 360 followed by the Wii. I want nothing to do with the money pit that is the Ps3. What games are you excited about for PC/Wii/360/PS3 in the upcoming year? I think I can safely say Halo3 for the 360 and the new Dawn of War game that's coming on the Pc. I don't play many games, and I make sure I'm going to enjoy the ones I do play. So none. The most over-rated game of 2006? Don't really keep up with the 'scene' any more, so I don't really know. The most Under-rated game of 2006? See above. The one thing in the gaming world that surprised you the most in 2006? The Wii... There wasnt any game i played that i feel was bad although i dont play too many games anyway. The most over-rated game of 2006? Oblivion (Its actually a great game, just not what i expected it to be. Its more like an improvement to Morrowind rather than what Bethesda hyped it up to be. And the game is not well optimized at all. The minimum requirements are a joke) The most Under-rated game of 2006? Dreamfall The one thing in the gaming world that surprised you the most in 2006? Sam & Max 2 beeing dropped Which would you want to see under your tree? Xbox 360, Wii or the Ps3? PS3 (I'd put a linux distro(probably Yellow Dog cause they are the most experienced distro where PPC is concerened. Besides E17 rocks) on it, add a USB tv card and a 320GB 3.5 inch Hard Drive and use it as a media center as well as console :D What games are you excited about for PC/Wii/360/PS3 in the upcoming year? Soval Posted February 9, 2007 Share Posted February 9, 2007 Best game of 2006? Hmm... I'd say CounterStrike Source. Played it with friends and thought it was cool. I never played it on my computer though. Worst game of 2006? I never tried it but I don't think Star Trek Legacy is winning any awards or popularity contests.
