Ah yes but in the original Flash Gordon film how many times do we hear his voice part from in the theme? Queen now have have a new front man to replace Mercury. Indeed, the first book is the best sc-fi book written ever in my opinion. Dune is fantastic......the props and sets built in my opinion easily rival that of Star Wars although the effects arent up to scratch. The bad guys in this film are the real deal. In the mean time remember this and say it two inches from you best friends face: It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. Ah you mean Princess Irulan Corrina daughter of the Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV, in Lynch's Dune? I so wish we could of seen more of her. If I remember correctly she narrates the introduction which was emitted in the TV Version........why? She did a great job in my opinion. Anyway the acrtres is Virginia Madsen. The acrtress who plays Ming's daughter is Ornella Muti. They both look special if you ask me :-)

Dune......well actually I own three of the Dune Series. I watched them in this order. 1. Dune The Theatrical release........The David Lynch Cut......131 minutes 2. Dune The Special TV Edition.......Presented by Dino Laurentis......the 3 1/2 hour version of the film above 3. Dune - William Hurt Version - This is the Sc-Fi Mini Series I havent seen Children of Dune which is the last in the series.......buy 2 and 3 on my list. .........sound advice.......dont show this film to a women you care about unless you want to be called weird.

Picard always seamed to be a very private man only friendly with senior staff whilst Janeway was more of a team player with all members of the crew............would Picard of changed his method of command having been put in Janeways position? Is this why Janeway is an Admiral.............everyone likes a team player? Perhaps I didnt put my point across correctly...........I was speaking in regard to the actors not the characters. I can see why producers employed Kate as she is as refined person in real life a lot like Patrick Stewart and has that same regal style about her. A commanding presence on screen? It is a well known fact that the uniforms in the first series of TNG were designed to titillate, to encourage people to watch......so Voyager and Enterprise are not the only guilty parties. Having said Trek isnt one big sex romp is it? All those critics and women *ahem* who made comments regarding 7 and those uniforms are total hypocrites because on the other hand they are praising shows like Sex in the City, which I personaly think is total drongo sex drivel. To conclude........ sex is a big party of our lives......why do you think Sir Alan Sugar employed the skinny blonde youngster rather then the miss piggy look a like.......was it on business ability?.......ha ha dream on. As long as Sc-Fi is around they will be sexy women.........as well as men. If people want to escape their lives into Sc-Fi do they want to be looking at actors with faces like the reflection of a chimp in the back of a spoon? I think not.

Sex sells........and if Star Trek was capitalising on that then its no different from any other film or television production. I do take your point about good script writing.......good writing is so hard to achieve in regards to making scripts have a universal appeal to the hardcore fan and the person who is just watching random television.....however sex has universal appeal and its something we all understand. Lets not forget the fan base..........now I know some of you lovely lads and ladies are married or are in long term relationships but on the most part there are a lot of sex starved geeks out there.........if it takes a lovely figure to persuade them to stop playing Everquest or stop counting the number of stormtroopers on Endor..........then thats what it takes! 7 I must admit peaked ( sorry for that pun ) my own interest but she also brought with her the Borg and there isnt a Star Trek fan who complained about the Borg scripts ( but no doubt someone will find something to moan about *sigh* ). I am male and no one is putting me down about my sexuality.............so if I watched an episode for 7 then whats the crime? The crime of being male? Lighten up please because you can still have a clear conscience, go to church and look at women on TV lmao! Janeway is a female version of Picard.....well at least in my opinion......I think Kate Mulgrew did a great job.

You've put me right off you Ms Evap........and we were getting on so well. I was about to PM you with the dimensions of my Voyager but I wont now. But back onto the Cisco thing........as if a Star Fleet officer would just give up his job to become some silly worm hole god. Did the Federation just write the man off? So is the man dead or what? Or do we have to create a massive antimatter explosion in the worm hole to make sure? How come Jadzia Dax didnt even get a funeral?

I still think you should see Flash Gordon! Many excuses for cool one liners and intense lazer fire that is incredibly inaccurate! Oh its got lots of lovely ladies too in skimpy 80's outfits.......this film is so my bag :-) There has been some really funny things written about this film and this is one......... Well thats clearly a chap who prefers his sc-fi with out the surgical tape ( if your not a Star Wars fan dont ask me to explain that very witty yet smutty joke ). P.S. I know someone suggested the 1930's series.

I would remake Captain America or make a new Flash Gordon Film.................and get Queen to do the music again!

In the UK we only let the criminals have the weapons..........that way the police can justify shooting anyone holding a banana. I had a girlfriend once (in a galaxy far far away called Yorkshire) and there was a guy living near her known to the locals as Cowboy Bob. He used to wear two replica six guns and dress up as a Cowboy...........he came out his front door one day and the police adopted the Kirk shoot to kill policey. They shot him dead on his doorstep............dressed in attire which would perhaps look a little odd in Yorkshire. So it would appear that your at risk from bullets if you like fancy dress. I remember as a kid playing army outside with cap guns and that was during a massive IRA threat.......there was no problem.........so why is there one now? The UK Police are little petaks.....what a cheap publicity stunt with a PLASTIC Battleth. Oh and look at the police running the show.....old blokes who are just wanting to boost their fat pensions. The police in the UK disgust me.

You've gotta love Shatner.........for the way he used to slow the dialogue to a complete halt then speed up the last few words in every sentance........a total master stroke if you ask me. Picard does sound so much like someone out of shakespearen play. It seams picard in the early seasons thought it wise to project his voice so that those sitting in the back of theatre could hear him! Oh and that laugh.....dear me.

Oh and Picard is only a Captain.....Janeway can pull rank on him as Admiral!

Sorry not the type 6 shuttle...... but runabouts (DANUBE CLASS). Which are classed as a ship in its own right. The Defiant is a ship designed to battle the Borg...........it is a purpose built ship intended for battle.

Whats the weapons package of DS9 compared to Voyager minus Borg Mods? DS9 would pummel most ships. DS9 has many shuttles and the Defiant........you could escape to warp if you wanted.

Voyager is a small craft designed for the purposes of science and exploration........if it would of fought in any battle it would of been in a last ditch attempt. DS9 does play a little on the deaths of Federation personel.............remember the Federation is huge and DS9 in my opinion didnt suffer many casualties as one unit in the war.

If Picard is THE MAN......how come he had to go back into the Nexus for Kirk? For all his brain power he couldnt stop Zoran diverting the ribbon. The ladies man gets my vote...........going in the for hard kill everytime...........Picard was just frigid..........for all the lovely ladies who used to drop in.......he never did anything........and let old sweaty beard take them for himself......and the only time he found 'the one' he let her go! Go on Picard make a move in Beverly! Now thats how TNG should of ended............marriage of Picard and Beverly. Not so bright after all is he?

Personality change......your telling me......she loved the self destruct sequence didnt she? A bit like a few of my ex's! When we look at the foes Voyager had to face and compare them to the Dominion........the Dominion were pansy beatniks. I would of liked to see DS9 against a few Borg cubes! Not strictly true about Voyager being on its own.......it had many allies.......they may have come and gone but they had allied races. If it wasnt for Janeways intervention in the final episode.......the entire crew certainly would of perished.........as the future Janeway points out.

I wonder if it caused Simon Cowl to be such a nob nose? :p With his hair cut......he could be in the film........with the special power of "patronising comments" that could lower the moral of any mutant! Ive always been an X-Men fan.........and I was annoyed to see that Lady Deathstrike was not wolverines love buddy like in the comics. That was the most annoying thing for me about X-2. Well I havent seen X-3 yet because my usual pal who I would normally attend the cinema with has found himself a girlfriend.........so it looks like I shall be attending on my own. This is supposidly the last film they will ever make...........and hopefully reduce the demand for Patrick Stewart who will no doubt soon be on his knees begging paramount to take him back for TNG 2......dream on! At the moment hes trying to hit if off in some crappy detective series in the UK......I hope it falls on its arse.........I told my gRandma hes better in Star Trek.
