  1. Those who have voted for the Federation / Startrek universe can't be in their right mind. Talking about Federation fighters? Wtf??? Jedi's could wipe the Federation clean without any backup whatsoever - in Starwreck - The Pirkinning they make a fine parody of the 'fierce and powerful' fighting techniques utilized... IMHTG opinion, the federation would be chanceless, the only force that would stand a decent chance would be Q and the Borg - the others are rather pitiful. For instance, Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer would easily smack the entire Federation and the Klingons by itself. As for the Deathstar, I won't even go into that discussion.
  2. Lol, thanks all ;) (bad news travel quickly, ey?)
  3. This is a fine debate.. but what if maybe just maybe.. the 'truth' or whatever is closer to the 'truth' is something inbetween intelligent design and evolution?
  4. How about a Cube VS Darth Vader's Superstar destroyer? that'd certinaly kick the crap out of a Cube... considering.. 8KM in size :D... or a Super Super Star Destroyer (Dark Empire) The Soverign (emperor's flag ship) could easily just ram a cube to bits + that it had a smaller version of the Deathstar superlaser (that could *only* crack the crust of a planet, not destroy it...) and oh it was 16KM in length :D Anyhow, as for Disruptors - if I get the point here, disruptors suck and are out of date?? In most games Phasers are weaker than disrupters, hence my belief in the Scimitar - as for TREK weapons in general, how would you guys who probably knows more about TREK than I do, rate the FED weapons vs the other races? To me it does seem (based on the movies) that except for the BORG and the Founders, and possibly some other race(s) from the Voyager series, the FEDs are the 'strongest' ?
  5. Nice 'case' however, don't forget the tachyon cannon that could wipe a planet in no time, that vs BORG's humanoid parts..?? hmm scrambled eggs... I'm taking a wild guess.. although as for Scimitar Vs Enterprise.. remember, he was the 'bad' guy (bad captain) and Picard was the almighty goodness gracious gooodie hero who 'can't be beaten even in defeat or in a clear disadvantage :D I think the same goes for Voyager.. female power anyone? haha.. well baha I don't know
  6. I voted for The Scimitar - as noticed I have little respect for the Borg :p
  7. Hehe.. the borg pulling a bluff and the fed / replicators calling it? =) I knew this discussion was around somewhere else too!
  8. As far as my speculation went - it's based on all I've seen so far (meaning all there is of both 'shows' and splinter shows etc.) and if anyone else have really watched it, my statement shouldn't need any delicate explination (and I mean that without pointing someone in the eye or stamping someone's foot). As for pitting the Ancients VS Q.. well for one thing Q 'can' do anything with a whim, unlike the Ancients - not that they've been shown that much so far, still Q 'can' do anything without much authority (yeah yeah the Q continuum blabla) as for the Ori, they don't seem to be all that, albeit quite powerful. But as this is all 'pure' speculation I guess anything goes, still I hold fast to earlier statements. ... and yes, Thanos is cool and I feel I'm probably as mad so I thought.. why not? =)
  9. I think I said this somewhere: Basically it comes down to this: The SG universe would easily "butcher" anything in the Star Trek universe except for Q. Q are a billion times more powerful than the 'ancients' of SG1 thus, TREK's only card would be the Q - and as said; The Trek universe are chanceless on any other point.
  10. Wahahaha remember the PLANET covered with replicators? And their 'nanite' humanoids... those *would* easily beat the borg as long as they get a tad of a foothold, as for the Asgards, they would probably be a tought fight for the Borg since Asgard ships are WAY beyond any 'warp' speed. Q would probably beat the Ancients with the snap of his (their) fingers.
  11. It seems this movie isn't going to be released in Sweden, so we're 'DL'ing today to at least get the chance to see it in reasonable time... and oh, we WILL buy it once it's released :D
  12. Mrthumps: that's a sweet avatar... Gundam? =) 9/10
  13. By the way, when it comes to artists and all kinds of artistry, MOST of 'us' or 'them' do it for the art of it, money is a bonus - or a recipie on how good you were; for instance, people like me and Fenriswolf are mainly concerned about at least being able to work with your art and live an ok life while paying bills, we're not in to make billions of dollars - it's ARTISTRY. Some may want to debate this, but there are different levels of artistry as well... some might be called 'fake-artists-all-in-for-the-Hollywoodpromise' and we're NOT part of that category as it is for the art and the love it, not something as simple and obscure as money. So for the working artist it's about being able to do what you do and be able to have a life while doing it. For instance, my bassbuilder Chris Stambaugh is one of the best in the business yet he charges about 1/3 of what others do - he's not rich nor famous as such, yet he's doing precisly as good as he wishes to - sometimes I wonder how he manages to stay afloat at all - but that aside, those of us 'real' artists out there are no fakers or wannabe's so don't try to excuse ALL downloading with the badcorporations chat. - Just making a point or a second one. [EDIT]: Most of the problems with *downloading* hit the big bad guys anyway so there's no love lost there, however still some of the decent people also get a slap in the face and that's something they don't deserve. Another problem is that all the kids being brought up with the wrong or rather misplaced values who *think* it's all ok to just download and share without thinking or understanding the consequences of it for the unlucky ones. Lastly to a degree, my favoured market - namely UNDERGROUND, is rather spared from the abuse of downloading and one of the odd places where filesharing actually is BENEFICIAL instead of the other way around. So in closing I just want to implore that people THINK a bit that's all. Cheers
  14. I think people should try to think more about the artists and not just 'download' because ' I want it, I don't want to to be illegal, therefor it isn't ' . For me myself, if I download LOST or TREK, it's exactly like making a 'video' recording since they go on cable which I have anyway, it's just a bit more convenient this way and since we pay for cable here, it's all *fair* at least in a sense. To my defense for other things, I mainly download things I already have, have had or will buy - so far, I've bought all I've been wanting to keep or watch, CDs, DVDs. etc. Still the prices are high and the major corporations are bad yadda yadda, and yes there should be some changes in the biz and make it all more fair and square, especially for the artists - being an artist I understand. Now if all the 'nerds' out there have such a hard time letting go of cash, why not try to develop something together that can CHANGE the business. Put some heads together!
  15. want something cool? check out Galactic Civilization 1 and 2 + the expansion(s) http://www.galciv.com and the appropriate links. Great scifi strategy game (never thought I'd say this but...) kicks Moo2 ass!! :) Stardock and it's publisher have a great deal of great strategy games, like Discples Sacred Lands among others..
  16. THANOS The Mad Titan of course! :D (Marvel Ultra-Villain)
  17. No it wasn't, only partially. Btw. Tenebrae, is that from the old group Goblin by any chance? I love them, they used to do amazing music for that old master-horror film maker from Italy.
  18. Wahaha :D :D venting some steam?
  19. House of the dead was GODAWFUL! the snippets in the game and some of the Matrix-esque special effects just kept you wondering "WTF. did they just put that?" Since the FX in that movie had NO function it was rather there to 'lift' the movie, at least it was better than the 'scifi' Stranded, but not by far... As for a Doom movie.. hm I don't know yet - other good game adaptions? Well, Resident Evil was ok
