This show was so good, but the ending was less than "stellar" (pun intended).

I would have done it better, like, say....NO TIME TRAVEL! F' that...and they needed to show stuff from after they got back..bah

Yes, I just saw the end yesterday

Even better would be the BORGS just disappear... then after a century they make their comeback... more powerfu... and P|SSED OFF !!!

This time no more standing around while others board their ship. This time... they are on the offencive and finally... FINALLY maybe they'll have some tactical drones with some OTHER than hand to hand weapon ineffeciancy.

C'mon... be honest here... what HASN'T been done !? You do a time travel movie... its automatically BACK TO THE FUTURE or TIME TRAX which was basically TIMECOP.

You do lost in space... u got FARSCAPE... VOYAGER... BATTLESTAR GALACTICA n 1st season of SGA. I believe its all on execution... FARSCAPE... SG-1 n BSG are prime examples. Old ideas... done well.

My idea went more like this.

Over a Century has passed... The Dominion has finally learned live in peace with the rest of the Galaxy. The Jem'Hadars have been freed from the Whyte. Romulans and Klingons are finally proper allies with themselves and the Feds.

The BORGS have dissappeared... then... 1 day.

There are reports of attacks from unknown vessels... they appear BORG... but not.

Dominion complains that solids are back to destroy them... then they realise... its the BORGS... they are back with a vengence.

They try to contact ALL the different races we have seen throughout the STAR TREK series... the VOTH [dino race from Voyager]... Krenim [the temporal race from Voyager] and all the other races... they even call Species 8472

BUT

They lose... and with the Female CARETAKER's help... they evacuate this GALAXY to hers everyone leaves... except... the Battle fleet.

They stay back and fight the BORG so that one day the others can come back.

At the same time the refugees face another danger in the void... the evil that was told about in KIRK's time... the reason why this Galaxy had a barrier. To protect itself from that evil but now the fleet will have to go through them to reach the other galaxy.

I just actually finished watching the final episode of Voyager about 3 minutes ago... I agree with the general concensus... the series finale could/should have been better. But yeah.. Enterprise had a FAR worse ending.... it's as if they pulled the entire episode straight from someone's backside..... no idea what they were thinking...

P.S. I'm new here :)

impulse0066 welcome here and yeah - what were they thinking (enterprise ending).. maybe they thought that this will sort of connect ent. more with other startrek series. becose of all other misses they introduced into enterprise and it didnt work very well (that temporal issue with WW2 for example - didnt like it at all)..

so they went with the recipe that worked before and has credibility. but I may be wrong, you never really know whats in producers heads.

I have only seen two series finales, TNG and ENT, and ENT sucked very badly, and TNG could have been better. It seems that finales is something that Rick Berman is not good at. At least, finales that viewers like. Maybe he thought that it was the end, there was no need for people to like it... but that's bs because then people won't watch the next series... Of course, in the case of TNG DS9 had already started, so chances are a bad ending for TNG would not have affected ratings for DS9. Well, I guess we'll never know, unless what happened to Worf in one of the episodes in season 7 of TNG happens to us.
