Hilander72
The final episode of any outstanding series, is always going to be a disappointing one. The bitter truth is that We all miss Voyager. :(
dabrood
Most people seem to forget that TNGs "All Good Things" is a time travel episode as well.
TFMF
Yes but All Good Things was a really good way to end the series and i really liked that episode - Endgame was a little more dissapointing but was still good
Bapman
WHAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND was another good series finale too. So was the ENTERPRISE 1... the PROPER one... not the real one. What other series had good finales !? FARSCAPE... BABYLON 5... X-FILES... FIREFLY [Counting Serenity]... JEREMIAH... tht's all I can think of right now. TFMF
Like Hilander72 said - you will always be dissapointed with season finales - but say with TNG - that was good - not much to be dissapinted about except for the fact that it was the last ep of TNG - that was a good series with a good ending - Voyager was a great series with and Average ending... DS9 was all good :)
bbbb
More time in the Alpha Quadrant would have been nice for the last episode of VOY. A showdown between the Borg and Voyager, Janeway finally getting help from Starfleet, would have been better than what they did. I noticed in the short battle between the fleet and the Borg sphere that the Starfleet ships did not fire quantum torpedoes. I wonder why that would be? Guest c4evap
Like YOU said... there's no accounting for taste. Btw... most of the people here are saying it was a bad ending. I liked it n EVEN I'm saying it. So how is that not common !? If you mean worldwide... is there anyway to ACTUALLY find out !? I don't know how to find out and don't really care to (not trying to be a smart-arse). If you mean most people in this thread...well, that's hardly a great big number. I have a ton of friends into Star trek and most loved the Voyager final EP. Oh, and just so there's no misunderstanding...I wasn't trying to put anybody down for their opinion. That's why I said "there's no accounting for taste". Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. c4 B)

maverick
i liked the ending. we get to see apotential future before janeway goes back which answers a few questions and there is a good plot line throughout. the borg are cool - again. think i'll start a thread on this....... Naikou
just adding the fact that getting a sudden deadline, makes getting a decent ending....difficult, take a look at john doe, lovely story, nice characters, nice slow pacing, allowing for character development, and all that, and last two eps goes at warp ten. dark angel, same thing really....whole bunch of stuff left 'unresolved' as the last few eps the story goes at warp speed. they simply dont have enough time to tell the story....this was the case in enterprise, dont know about voyager though, although sounds like it(not seen S7 yet, so not sure) but the classic signs are drastic change in pacing, and 'unresolved issues'....as a side note, DS9 did it rather well, trying to tie it all off...impressive really. bathori
I like the ending too. I did not had the feeling that they are pulling a rabbit out of the hat.... It was forthcoming but.... after all it lasted 7 years.... right? And I subscribe to the general idea, that Enterprise's ending was.... I want to be delicate but.... was shamefull. yes, that is the word. SHAMEFULL! I don't think that the staff was not able to create a decent ending. However, what they delivered us was shamefull. I badly need a new series!!! don't we all? :(
Naikou
bathori: the classic signs(and the fact that they pretty suddenly got a 'you are not going to get another season' message....) are there, change of pacing, and plenty of things left unresolved, so enterprise was also a victim to the 'off the air' disease that seems to be rather popular among the channel execs today. Tenebrae
Let's see... TNG had the best ending of all the new Treks. Hell probably one of the best Trek episodes period, you had action, time travel, Q... it kind of wrapped it all up nicely. A nice bookend to Encounter At Farpoint, everything just slotting into place and you feeling kind of... warm and fuzzy. DS9 was a bit weaker... it wrapped up everything but even though the Dominion War arc had been a grueling slog but they kind of cheated us on the ending. There we were waiting for some killer battle to send the series out with a bang and what did we get? Well, a bit of chatting and then the Founder going "well, I guess we can all be friends" before we have a schmaltzy 20 minutes of flashbacks and such. It could have been a lot more profound but it was kind of trying too hard to evoke an emotional response - dare I say, it was trying to pull a B5? ;) Voyager... ha, well what can I say? It was a reflection on the show. A casual disregard for continuity (if there ever was any), excessive use of the Borg, good old time travel and so on - all because 7 died. Her and Janeway should just have gotten out of that clothing storage unit. ENT - came a bit out of left field, really. Pointlessly some years advanced and just why did Frakes have to be in it looking like he'd been living on paint stripper? Killing Tucker was pointless in such a "OOO - look we killed someone! How dramatic!" way. It wasn't grand or clever or... well, anything. I don't think you can say they didn't know they were going to get the chop though. ENT was pretty much on the ropes from day one. If it hadn't been Star Trek, they'd have pulled the plug a lot sooner... but I think even if you'd not known the end was nigh - you could have done a better job on that ending... but then, it seems like the endings sum up the shows. So for this to be the lamest was probably appropriate.
