  1. Oh man... when I was Hooked on Civ3, I played it for 35 hours straight, only taking breaks to boil more coffee, pee, and light cigerettes. But it was worth it, I put that arrogant little b!tch, Joan of Arc in her Fing place in the end.
  2. There it is everybody, a very detailed summery of the upcomming episode "Bad Wolf", Staring Christopher Eccelson as Doctor Who, Billie Pipper as Rose Tyler, and HG Wells as Bad Wolf. Great Story Fen, sure does explain a lot :)
  3. Thanks for the history lesson, Boris. I had no idea that there were even such things as games before broadband. Please, explain further.
  4. Try safe mode. //Works every time
  5. I'm 99% sure that he was also credited as "Doctor Who" in Father's Day. I don't have access to that ep right now, But I KNOW he was Doctor Who in at least one other 2005 ep. Urgh...This is gonna drive me nuts untill I get that hard drive back. Don't forget that in the pilot episode, in big black text on Clive's website the page title was "DOCTOR WHO?"
  6. "I fully intend to live well past one hundred-fourty years." - Nikola Tesla
  7. This was a great episode, #2 best so far (The Unquiet Dead is still my fav, ya just can't beat Zombies). In this ep, I have a feeling that the 'girl' (forgot her name, the one that takes care of the kids) and the kid that was taken from the crash site (The patient Zero) were both on the ship that The Doctor and Rose were chasing in the intro, both alien / time travellers, and she'll eventually do something to stop those zombie / idea men / soulless 4 year olds frantically searching for their mother. I think that when The Doctor followed "The Girl" (Should really watch that ep again, or remember her name from the posts) and she was talking about "You should see The Doctor"... I don;t know... his reaction didn;t seem right to me. It looked as if she just 'outed' him as being an imposter. he looked as if "Oh holy hell, the REAL Doctor is here?! Frig" It really supported the whole "The Doctor ISN'T the Doctor" theroies that are going around lately. Thanks to eveyone that did the research, and made theroies about the bad wolf refrences, I don;t know about the majority of the forum, but I'm way too lazy / dumb to have caught all that myself this ep. As for the openly bi-sexual charecter, as long as he's bi in a fun light hearted way (Like Jay from Jay and Silent Bob, or Bigfoot, from cookingwithbigfoot.com ) and not over the top, in a dramatic, lets make season 2 all about jack trying to have a 3 some with Rose and the Doctor kind of way, it shouldn't be a problem. just keep in mind that Kids and Families are the target audience for this show. They'll make it so cool, that even the biggest homophobe in the world will still love the show. ps guys grabbing other guys bottoms arn't just limited to sports, hell, work on the line at any busy kitchen, and you'll eventually even get the ol' 'reach around' too.
  8. Now that would be perfect! Those books were a good mix of sci fi (the robot monk, time travelling apartment) and Fantasy (Thor, and the other Norse God's) Ahhhh havn't read those books in years. For some reason, Andromeda reminds me of the Star Ship Titanic. Not the stories, mind you, I mean the actual interface for the computer.
  9. 1) Toronto, Ontatio, Canada 2) No Car, Would accept ride from Niagara Falls, Canada (Long story) 3) I'd love to attend the main convention, but August is the busiest time of the year in my trade. Might have to dust off the ol, Webcam for this one. 4) Atleast 2 weeks notice for anything I'd have to travel for, or a PM for a cam event. 5) 10 for a cam deal, hrm... lets say 7 for a trip, then?
  10. I use Linux / KDE, doo da, doo da Spyware ain't effecting me, all the doo da day. On a more serious / helpful note, I've never fully trusted any spyware program that required a serial key to run. Always stuck to Spyblot S&D, Spyware Blaster, and took the time to configure my ActiveX, settings and HOST file (for ads). And using Firefox does a world of good. Friends don't let friends use Internet Exploiter.
  11. I've only bought 3 games in my life. 1) Soldier of Fortune 2 (Still as much fun as it was in the 90's) 2) Falllout 1 & 2 (They were packed together) 3) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords (Dissapointed)

    Religion

You guys will accept Jedi as a religion, eh? [X] Jedi And there we go.
  13. I'm probabally wrong (Becuase I'm neither European or American), but I think it has something to do with the budgets that the producers have to work with, and the cact that the new Doctor Who is bleeding edge when it comes to special effects so far, and special effects = tons of cash. American Sci Fi shows had 20 - 26 eps per season becuase America has a bigger budget when it comes to TV shows, compaired to the EU. Don;t forget, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, but that seems like a reasonable explaination to me.
  14. That's three for a broken link.
  15. Yep, I got fired today from my job :( Apareentelly some vegetables that got cookeed off for a huge party on my last shift (May 17th) got contaminated, and some people got sick (And before anyone asks, no, theres no way I did it, I'm a professional in the kitchen.). No warning, no explainations, nothing. 2 years, never a problem, and I'm back to handing out resumes to pay the bills. So on my way out, after clearing out my locker, and returing my keys and all that, some how the nozzel of a 500 galon tank of frier oil got open and dumped it's self all over the store room floor. (Yes, I voted for the last option) Anyone have any similer stories?
  16. I don;t know what the long term effects are for keeping anger and frusterations in are to be honest. I used to keep it all in when I was youmger, in school still, and just erupt into a violent, screaming and crying frenzy after my "Limit Break" meter filled up. The way I do things now, is if I havea problem with someone at work, they hear aboout it immedietelly. If I have a problem with the GF, we talk about it. If my comp f*cks us and I no matter what I do to fix it, it still dosent work right, I take a walk, or make something to eat, and come back to it in few hours with a fresh perspective, instead of smashing it into rubble (then again, I DO still love to take a bag full of busted hardware to the park, and play some softball with it with my buddys :)) Botteling up aggression isn't a good thing. Remember that one SImpsons when flanders goes nuts becuase he suppressed all his negitive feelings? That could be you, buddy.
  17. It's already on the net, Boys / Girls. http://www.boingboing.net/2005/05/19/star_wars_iii_online.html

  19. I'm down with that. I'm always on the look out for hearing rocked out versions of video game classics, especially from the old mario games, and final fantasy. Actually, I'd like to make a request. I always thought it'd be cool to hear a rocked out versions of the default Windows XP boot up / shut down music.
  20. I don;t know if any of you are familiar with The Tick cartoon series... but from what I've seen of this up comming episode from the BBC website's photo gallery, the whole deal reminds me A LOT of the pilot Episode of The Tick, and the villians are a lot like The Idea men. Guys in the big coats, the gas masks, even down to the airship.... strange... yet cool...
  21. I just like to be difficult :)
  22. Earth? I wouldn't know, it's still 4 months or so untill I get there.
  23. I'd watch a Trek series with a chimp at the helm... only if he was smoking the entire time.
  24. I liked the enterprise uniforms the best. had an auhhentic NASA look to them. One piece, navy blue, sewn on patches, embroidered name tags, and colors representig position.
  25. Can't go wrong with the Borg Cube. Monolithic, imposing, nice paint / lighting job, massive, efficient, and built for only one purpose.
