  1. Yea but when was Peter near Eden to absorb The Voice? There are two people he could have absorbed it from; Eden or Sylar. If he got it from Sylar, that means Sylar got it from Eden. If he got it from Eden, I don't remember where the two of them met.
  2. Well to be fair the shard of glass was stuck pretty far into the back of his head, when Claire yanks it out it's covered in blood pretty much over the entire shard.
  3. It was worth the wait. Peter vs Sylar was good, short but good. I would have expected Peter to slow down time when Sylar made the glass go everywhere, but alas this was a plot point to bring Peter/Nathan/Claire together. I love the HRG/Matt combo, they work well together. How they managed to get Ted to cooperate I'd love to know, and why is Ted awake all of a sudden? They kept him sleeping for the specific reason that he couldn't use his powers. He's conveniently awake and nuclear powered still? Though the EMP was cool as hell :P I coulda done with less Jessica/Niki. It was cool to start with but Niki has no power to fight Jessica, she's frakkking helpless. Nice to see much more of Linderman. So Sylar does have Eden's power. Not sure if it works right but if you listen to him, he tries out The Voice a couple of times. Issac accepting his fate was great stuff, that was awesome. I'll miss him Sad Only a couple of minutes of Hiro & Ando? Sad Though to be fair, Hiro and Future Hiro meeting was frakking worth it. "You!" "Me?" Future Hiro sporting a pony tail, sweet. Yes, 1x19 was worth the wait.
  4. I'm in the middle. On one hand, I loved seeing the Doctor and Martha travel to America for a change, and a 1930's New York is just beautiful, even if it was the Depression-era. It had a very noir feeling, I liked it. On the other hand, I agree in that they are painting themselves in a corner with the Dalek's. I attest to not seeing older Doctor Who stuff, I know a few bits and pieces but not a lot. But from what I have seen, I would classify Dalek's as the Doctor's greatest enemy. His archnemesis. Why the hell are the "last 4 Daleks" trying to merge with humans? Wouldn't their talents be better put to use into finding a way to break open the divide between realities and freeing their fellow Daleks from The Void? Somehow I don't see the Supreme Dalek surviving this ordeal, and AFAIK he's the only one that can time-shift, so how are the other 3 gonna get away? They need to keep one around at least, to escape and come back in the future episodes to fight the Doctor. Hopefully part 2 will be a little better.
  5. Yea they took down that version of the trailer. I updated the original post with a different link, same video. It is indeed a bucket of awesome.
  6. Amen to that. I never though a tv show would topple my love for Star Trek and dozens of others (BSG, Doc Who, B5, Buffy, Angel, Farscape, etc) I've got a lot of top contenders for "favorite" though it all started with Star Trek, so I've always claimed that as my favorite. Heroes comes along, and it also did a number on me. I watched it from Episode 1, till current, every Monday night. I've always watched WWF Raw on Mondays (wrestling fan, heh..) for years now but Heroes got me to change the channel on Mondays at 9pm for the first time in almost a decade. I love it. Tim Kring is a frakking genius. Hiro Nakamura needs his own tv show damnit!
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkVioMTgJxQ&mode=related&search= (potential spoilers) This is looking better, and better, and better. That is one awesome clip. If you pause it at the right moment, you can see Mr. Linderman's powers. It's a bag of pure awesome. Claire as a brunette is hot ;) Future Hiro, hell yes. Peter vs Sylar round 2, oh hell yes. Cannot wait for April 23rd. 5 more episodes this season. Already renewed for Season 2 aka Chapter 2.
  8. Thanks for the advice. I have done as I said in the [H] thread, a HDTune scan and my drive comes up ok, it's listed as healthy and scanned clean. Right now, it's "working", the OS install that is. The only thing wrong is in those two screenshots, the driver error for both com1 and my processor. I can boot into Windows fine, it's a slower boot but it boots, once inside I can do things as normal. I've used the 11GB HDD as a backup, it houses stuff such as application install files (anti virus, firefox, etc) to family photos. I know a reformat and reinstall of the OS would be the option to go with but I'm really looking for another method to fix these two errors. If you look in the [H] thread you'll see I mentioned checking for drivers for my specific processor/chipset, none were found, yet it's listed as a 2004 driver via Device Manager. So if I could somehow reinstall that particular driver, maybe it would fix that error?
  9. Long story, I made a thread over at [H]ardOCP, I'm also asking around other places for any and all help; http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1178098 Any help or advice is appreciated and most gladly welcomed.
  10. Loved it. One of the better episodes imho. I'm slowly, warming up to Martha but I still miss Rose :( Loved, really loved all the Harry Potter references, genius stuff really. I loved the portrayal of Shakespeare, I read some of his stuff over a decade ago in highschool and he was always drawn or spoken of in a real dry boring kind of manner, which is to say who knows if thats what history really was. Rofled at the Back to the Future reference ;p Two minor gripes; 1) I agree the Tardis in the middle of 1599 London is a plot hole. He didn't even land in some back alley just right in the middle of the street not far from the theater. 2) is every episode going to be Doctor & Companion travel in time -> Something strange is going on -> Person(s) behind strange events are always uncovered as some alien the Doctor almost always seems to know about? Don't get me wrong, it works but the formula is gonna get old sooner or later unless they introduce more storylines woven into each regular episode. Next week's looks great, Face of Boa is back maybe we'll learn this super secret he's got in store for the Doctor he mentioned in brief back in S28's opener?
  11. I liked it. I enjoyed how the Doctor introduced himself into investigating the problem by being admitted as a patient. Still miss Rose.
  12. That was certainly one mind-f'k of an episode. Shape Shifter woman is a bitch. I hate her, in the good way in which you're supposed to hate a bad guy. Now HRG is fucked cause Thompson knows his secret. How did Mohinder clue into Sylar? Maybe I missed a piece of dialogue but did his DNA match up to "Patient Zeros"? I know Mohinder saw the news paper on Zane but still, that couldn't have been his chief clue, it'd be too obvious of a plot device by the writers. Hiro and Ando, back again Wink YATTA! Though, I wonder, why the f'k are they all drawn to that one roof top? Hiro & Ando time travel to the post-nuke NY to that rooftop, it's that rooftop that Claude lives on, that rooftop of the same building Issac lives, same rooftop of the building that Simone and her father lived who happened to be Peter's hospice patient, come on it can't just be cheap set design, whats the storyline of that roof? I'm dyin to know Jessica is startin to lose the battle with Niki, that should be interesting. I didn't see Nathan's mom both speaking French and knowing the Haitian. I knew that she already knew about Claire and such but man, that part was a twist. Mr. Linderman was, kind of a let down. Not Malcolm McDowell's performance but the character. Like I expected him to exert more of a bad ass gangster leader type of vibe instead he was all calm and quiet, and making pot pies o_O Peter vs Sylar round 2 should be good Oh and APRIL 23RD? that's 53 f'king days from now (did the math in my head quickly, may be off a day or two) but still, 53 f'ing days, WHAT THE FRAK... Sad its gonna be a long ass March and April thats for sure
  13. Eh...I guess but keep in mind the thread title always bears in mind SPOILERS, and my threads for new episodes for tv shows always include an opinion/summary/cliff note of the preview for the next episode coming up. Compromise; next episode I'll mark off the preview portion review with a large bold text spoiler warning and leave it un
  14. "Like Any Parasite" 1x18, little spoiler clip from this episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CODzjz6PwiE I gotta say, I'm warming up to Nathan. Of course Hiro is still brilliant there ;)
  15. Well to erase Bennet's boss's mind, the Haitian would have to be near him and, alive. Somethin tells me his boss wouldn't let his mind be wiped without putting up some sort of a fight. As for radiation I always thought it depended apon the amount. Like small amounts, the kind you are exposed too for say, an x-ray aren't really lethal or make you sick (they can but that rarely happens). But Ted was basically a bomb almost ready to go off, he was putting out tons of radiation. They shoulda done more than throw up a little bit, they shoulda had skin melting off and such, especially Matt since he tried to grab Ted not once but twice.
  16. This, was a spectacular episode. This, is what Lost needs to be. Give us mysteries, secrets, plots, then wrap them up, temporarily solve them or at least give us good amount of hints in a short time span. They have plenty of material on the table at the moment, and a show with super heroes can basically create new stuff at will when it needs. Little Hiro was cute, even did the adjust-the-glasses move Wink Notice he was playing an original "gray brick" style GameBoy? Nice continuity there (14 years ago was 1993, the original GB era prior to GB Pocket and GB Color) How long until HRG and the others realize, Claire is basically indestructible? And how the fuck did they survive that? Sure Ted didn't go super nova on them but still, that had to be some huge dose of radiation poisoning. Claire walking out of the house, awesome. Sheer awesome. Though, you'd think she'd be a tad more naked (I know, a tad pedophilish but come on, the actress is almost 18 and she's smoking hot, literally hehe...) 20 to 1 says the Simone being alive is just some dream/coma/hallucination of either Peter or Issac. 've narrowed it down to two people for Linderman; Malcolm McDowell or Sam Elliot. He appeared older, wrinkles on his neck and had white hair and a white beard. Anyone notice the two huge plot holes here? 1) If the Haitian wasn't the one that could block powers, why the fuck couldn't Matt read HRG's mind whenever he was around before? Simply the distance of him being in the car on the stakeout? What about when he talked to him in the hospital after Peter saved Claire from Sylar? The Haitian was only right down the hall, and Matt still couldn't gleam any thoughts. So if the Haitian could block powers, why didn't he stop Ted from going super nova? If the Haitian couldn't block powers, what was stopping Matt? By the time he was trying to use his power on HRG, he had learned enough control to use it at will, so it wasn't lack of ability. 2) Maybe I missed it in past episodes, but where did Lyle come from? Tonights episode was at least the second time they tell us HRG and Ms. Bennet could not conceive children, so was Lyle also adopted? If so, did they ever tell us? (I honestly don't remember). It's just been bugging me where the hell he came from. Ya know, after the ending of that episode, I gotta say I have no dislike of HRG. He took a bullet and had his mind wiped completely of Claire. Imagine how much memory would have to go to completely erase her? He probably won't remember Lyle, his wife, definitely not who he worked for. He did that to save Claire. For a second, I thought he was gonna turn her over, then the Haitian showed up, I knew he was setting himself up as the sacrificial scape goat. Sad ending, but a very noble gesture.
  17. I know the other was more in line with the classic Nite theme But this one rocks So much easier on the eyes (black and orange is ok, like the old one. Gold gradient banners and stuff just irritated my eyes). Kudos, keep up the great work guys
  18. I love how the Tardis can travel through time, fly through space, withstand orbiting super novas, withstand most kinds of offensives (rockets, Dalek lasers, etc) but flying in and out of moving car traffic to catch a taxi makes it damn near break down? Fantastic ;p It was a good episode. I liked it. Last years was better imho, I guess cause I still miss Rose by the Doctor's side. The previews for season 29 look great, but it will take time for some of us to warm up to Martha. I was also sadden to find no nude pictures of Catherine Tate online ;p
  19. Ok that was FRAKKING AWESOME. I thought it was cheesey at first, I mean Nichols is so gray haired it's sad kinda. Then they threw in J.G. Hertzler, aka mother frakking Martok oh hell yes. And who couldn't just geek out at Garrett Wang aka Harry Kim being all bad ass with the phaser and longer hair (kinda like Future Harry from that one episode). Either it will rock hardcore or some of us diehard Trek fans are so starved for new content, we'll take anything.

    Vorta

Kyran? Isn't he the one that Sisko let Quark have so he could trade him for Moogie when the Dominion captured her?
  21. Yea but how many of those were named with the basis of Cochrane's Phoenix as the idea for it? Hell if I know my canon correctly, The Phoenix wasn't even named until First Contact, unless it was in a bit of dialogue in that one TOS episode where Kirk meets the time traveling Cochrane. In which case most of those places/towns were named well before Cochrane's ship was first named.
  22. I'm surprised nobody has started naming stuff Phoenix. I mean granted, we all recognize Enterprise as one of humanity's first vessels at exploration, from as far back as sailing ships as people are pointing out. But Zephram Cochranes innovation of warp travel in The Phoenix goes un noticed. I'd like to see like, one of the new energy based cars (or hybrids) be named that. Sure it's not a easy comparison but it is a tiny, tiny, tiny step into using energy to travel and who knows maybe some day we'll take another step from using rocket fuel and oxygen to manuver in space to something else and that too could be labeled Phoenix ;p
  23. Well I was talking about the other crew, not Shatner as Captain Kirk. Obviously since he's spouting off about technology that didn't really exist in 1991, it's a given that he's current day Shatner. I was just saying if no one else noticed, the other cast are just the scene from the movie, digitally layed behind Kirk while he does his commerical.

    Star trek idea

See I never really studied up on the locational factor's of it all. In hindsight, the Beta Quadrant makes DS9 looks like it has egg on it's face. I mean, Sisko and Starfleet are rallying over the course of like 7 years to prevent this massive war to save the Alpha Quadrant? Was it just because the Wormhole lead from Alpha to Gamma? If half of the Federation is in the Beta Quadrant and Earth borders Alpha/Beta it makes sense to say that both quadrant's are in danger in such situations like the storyline of DS9. But yea, they'd have to like go into the farther reaches of Beta for some stories to work, since as you point out we already have done Klingon stuff, plenty of Vulcan stuff, etc Ok how about this; A few years after Voyager gets back (say a few years post-Nemesis), Starfleet perfects Slipstream technology based on years of study of Voyager's experiece with it, data, logs etc So they equip a few ships, and plan a small voyage of a few ships, outside our known galaxy. We know there's basically a ring of space, the inner part of the galaxy is inhabitable and there are known lifeforms on the outter parts outside all four quadrants (as seen in TNG). So using Slipstream (or hell Transwarp either or) to get there, a few ships travel there and begin a whole new level of exploration. The kicker would be since it's several ships you end up with several bridge crews that are the cast of the show. You'd need to wittle down the numbers some, instead of like 7 or 8 main cast, do 3 or 4 from each ship (captain, first officer, security, then maybe engineer or doctor). Toss in a familar face from one of the other series maybe as well.
