  1. Now that you mention it... I remember him saying that to Rose. Damn my indexed memory! Can't find anything without a prompt -_-'...
  2. I'm 28 going on 29... and wondering if I'll ever have a stable job -_-'... ah, well. That's why I'm back in school working on a degree! ^^
  3. Yes... the page has a pop up menu that gets translated, but leaves the page alone -_-'... it also seems to disable right click menus, so no copying of frame URLs. Short of simply selecting all the text and pasting it in Babelfish, it won't translate.
  4. All they need to do is figure out how to force human cells to spontaneously undifferentiate without going cancerous (i.e. become stem cells), and we're set! Newts do THAT all the time, but the problem is figuring out how they do it...
  5. I trust the biblical ages as much as ... well, I trust the bible, with is zilch when talking about factual historical information. The closest it gets is sort of accounting things that may or may not have happened totally differently than what it describes... ... the parts not stolen from other religions, that is -_-'...
  6. http://www.morrion.com/peru/preinca/Cult__Preincaicas/FORMATIVO/PARACAS/paracas.html Yup, it looks like skullbinding... now, if I could only translate this site...
  7. As I said, 'Journey of the Sorcerer' by the Eagles was great ^_^ ... and the original Battlestar Galactica theme really is great live at a classical concert ^^ Edit: Now, if only I could track down the rendition they used in the movie...
  8. ... are there even back rooms in the new Tardis? They haven't shown any doors leading back inwards...
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/sci/tech/4071192.stm Hmmm... I wonder what ramifications this sort of thing will have?
  10. I'm rather partial to the Doctor Who theme and 'Journey of the Sorcerer' by the Eagles... used in parts or remix as the intro/end to all the Hitchhiker's Guide shows (be they radio, TV, or movie ^^)
  11. <- is expecting a set of Foundation movies would probably bite... but also would see it anyways ^^'
  12. ... but none of 'em were so totally dedicated to character developement as Boomtown was... the development was the central theme, while in every other episode of Doctor Who it was incidental.
  13. From a purely geological standpoint, Asia and Europe -are- a single continent... Eurasia.
  14. Heh... yeah, I always thought the thing about it being illegal to watch DVDs in Linux was rather... opressive and unfair.
  15. Heh... 'Nerd' is the name they give the people in school who work towards their future lives as an adult instead of playing the insane, illogical, dumb-as-brick game of 'pecking order' in school.
  16. Ooh! They were all infected with 'Ridgy Forehead Syndrome' O.o...
  17. It takes intelligence to show someone what they're lacking, but it takes genius to do it and have them appreciate it ^_^
  18. I'm not a Trekkie OR a Trekker... I'm a sci-fi enthusiast and *ahem* Whovian ^^ ... only three days a week, though ^^

    Gay Trek.

Happiness is a state of mind, not a set of rails you must ride or be unhappy.
  20. The books are fairly good... head and shoulders above the movies, if that's a surprise. Well, unless you have a faulty imagination and can't see the books you read, in which case the movies are for you ^^
  21. Actually, I think Boomtown was the first purely character-development based episode in Dr. Who history ^^'... unless someone knows one I didn't see / can't remember offhand ^^'
  22. Actually, the 'state of grace' field died by the middle of the 5th doctor's time (or some indeterminate time before...), as was evidenced in Earthshock when the Cybermen could shoot in the TARDIS ^^'... so yes, I think Margaret could have killed Rose.
  23. Heh... just finished Red Dawn and going strong...
  24. I'm going to buy the DVDs when it's released in a season box ^^
