Worse than a stone age pocket......a rural back water.......a lot like the hill billy country in the US......ha ha ha The other problem is for a long time one company had a monopoly over the city. They gained a reputation for overhcharging. 12 years ago they were charging 45 pounds per hour. As a result most managers of local businesses who dont understand ICT remember the price this company used to charge and as a result prefer to let their PC's rot rather than spend the money. Even if the PC's no longer power up they just let them sit on the desk as some kind of desk ornament.........I`m being serious! The companies that do take their ICT seriously use DELL machines all of which are under on site warranty. They will never need a technician.

I wish I could make money like you Kyran to be able to afford the latest hardware. All the businesses in my city are using PII and PIII's and even when there is a problem with them the management expect the staff to continue using the machine. This makes it impossible for an ICT technician to make any money.

You have got to take your hat off to the modern business man of today. I can tell you what will happen now..........Microsoft will buy up Opera......then all the software developers children after that >:D The reasoning being if you make yourself a big enough nuisance towards MS they just buy you up. Opera want to be bought.

You know why they gave you three different answers, because all they doing is reading from a sheet of paper full of excuses. Excuses passed onto them by ICT staff in the UK who know that the India team is going to be swarmed with calls about things like disconnects. I swear if they dont know they just bulls##t you. Oh and as for that guy who rings you trying to rope you into a contract which he tells you nothing about in his sales pitch......thats actaully illegal in the UK.

I called BT to complain about my speed. I told them I was being ripped off since the speed of my connection is in fact under 2MB and as it happens Sky give a 2MB broadband connection away free to their customers. The BT Broadband team in India are a god damn bunch of liars........they tried to convince me that the speed I was getting was good and I live less than half a mile away from the exchange. If you were someone who doesnt understand ICT you could easily have the wool pulled over your eyes. I started talking to the man on the other end about IP profiles and it wasnt long before he established that he could not fob me off so easily. Oh and has anyone else noticed that their BT Broadband is constantly diconnecting at peak times...........BT's way of stopping those pesky downloaders..........well bugger BT because most clients auto resume even if the connection stops. Of course BT wont admit thats what they are doing they call it "testing your line". Funny how those tests always happen between 5.30pm and 8.00pm!

Thanks for the reply Annot. The manual snipe never works for me unless I bid BIG and the other guy doesnt have time to recover with a higher bid. Like just a moment ago I bid with 16 seconds to go and some other guy managed to get a bid in with 3 seconds to go! That HAS to be automated. There must be something out there.

Can anyone tell me what the best automated Ebay sniper proggy or service is please. Something I can run from my desktop leave my machine on and the proggy will place a bid with 1 or 2 second left. I would also like such a tool to be freeware or sharware. Thank you.

Guess what, the best flat panel and the only flat panel Ive ever had is a DELL. Ive been using is since 2003 and Ive never had one problem with it. Image quality is still as crisp as the day I bought it and I can tell you Ive had some serious use out of it. The model is the 1702FP Ultra Sharp. I did however as part of job try to get a DELL flat panel repaired that was no longer under warranty. DELL do not repair their own monitors you have to send them to a third party to be repaired who will probably use canabalised parts. I dont believe a member of the public can even buy the parts to repair them direct from DELL. Tenebrae........I think you've hit the nail square on the head there. What a shame that all the young game players swallow it and games magazine talk about those screenies like they are actually real to make the whole marketing campaign more believable. Of course the magazines and websites arent making any money out of this......or are they? Even game video's are faked, not just the screen shots......Galaxies was yet another example of this. Some even go to the extent of building one level of the most brilliant game ever, then when the game is released, its nothing like what you saw at the games show. But we were dumn enough to buy the product based on the fake visuals. Its a conspiracy.

Ok this is a pre-rendered screen shot from Star Wars Galaxies. It doesnt matter what spec your machine was, it could never achieve this simply because the code wasnt there to create this level of lighting and shadow. The reality of what the game looked like with out the re-rendering:

I define re-rendering as essentially a screen shot where the lighting and shadows of the 3D models have been redone so what in fact you get is a screen shot that looks nothing like what you see in game. I must say this game looks very child like.........clearly the market research has not been done in regard to the potential player base.
