I`m a big fan of both films and to be honest I see no way that EFNY can be improved upon...........in regards to special effects, acting or story. They should write a new script that follows from EFLA staring Kurt Russell. That film would be a valuable contribution as it would complete a trilogy. So what happened to America once they lost all power...........there certainly is potential for one very dark moody Snake film. Get Gene Hackman to play the military government bad guy whos blackmailing Snake. Even after 1 minute of thought on this topic I`m coming up with better ideas than this ill conceived re-make.

Rather than tease you two years ago by telling that this game was in development I`m telling you now since this game is released tomorrow. Its called True Strike and its a mod for Battlefield 2142. The last time I created a thread like this someone had a 1000 word rant about how they wanted a new star wars game like X-Wing vs Tiefighter...........I hope your happy now :-) P.S. I always assumed each species evolved on different continents under different weather conditions. I wonder if the size of the planet would make any difference to the evolution of the species?

It isnt accurate........for example. In Raiders we see the MP40 it didnt go into production until 1940. We also see Indy grab hold of a Panzerfaust......that hadnt been invented either. The Gestapo wasnt formed until 1940. I could go on and on but I dont want to bore people here with prop and uniform inaccuracies.

Well come on....Tasha Yar got a better send off! It may of been a temporary grave? Just so no animals could have a peck at him until his body could be recovered. Do you think Spock would of actually even heard about the death of Kirk? Perhaps the first scene of the new film will start with Spock standing next to the grave of Kirk. Did Picard even report the apprearance of Kirk or his death? Or does the Star Fleet database still record he was lost in the ribbon?

The last episode was not intended to be an ending so I am told.....the previous episode was the end. The last episode in the season offered an insite into what happened to the crew since we will probably never see them again. Better to have that episode, than not I would say. I was also told that the next season would of been the Romulan war........shame the fans didnt tune in because now we'll never get to see it :-( P.S. Sorry for all the wiki rumour in this post :-)

I found you were right when I checked the Indiana Jones timeline. I always thought that Indiana could move around so freely because America wasnt involved in the war until 1941. It now makes me think how inaccurate the Germans uniforms and weapons were. I still think this film is going to hurt the other three films.

Couldnt agree more Ulysses. The last time we saw Jones it was 1941, I think the next film should be based around the fall of the Reich in 1945. Your also spot on regarding artifacts and the Nazis however I`m also told that the Chinese had and still have a strong interest. Not sure about the Russians. Connery is an icon, however some were disappointed in his character in the last film as it sort of made him look incompetent. According to ever reliable Wiki Connery was invited to return but declined, he said he was enjoying retirement too much. My favourite film that Connery has made was The Man Who Would be King.......I cannot help but feel that inspiration for Indiana Jones was taken from that film.

Sadly there will be no escape for me when it comes to Vista. Nearly all of the off the shelf machines are being shipped with it. The same can be said about the machines that are bought in by businesses, all shipped with Vista. So as a wannabe tehnician there is no escape, its a case of learn it or die :-\

In a nut shell......... If you want to buy the Radieon X1800 GTO DONT buy a 7600 GT instead. If you can afford to upgrade your PSU buy a x1950XT. But if you want a card that has the best DX 9 performance of any other card buy the Nvidia GeForce 7950 GX2........it is no longer sold in shops anymore, but trust me its as good as DX9 hardware will ever get.

It made me laugh how the aliens show up out of no where....no detection on sensors or any indication what so ever. He does wink though.....so you know hes not really dead. I have to admit the last game console I owned was a SNES! On Friday I have a job interview and the job involves selling these things. What I need to do is read up on consoles and the most popular games for them. I`m actually really worried about this film, the very title worries me, George Lucas worries me, Ford worries me, no Connery worries me. I mean come on you know George Lucas came up with that title! What is it with old hollywood films makers and actors past their prime trying to recapture past film glory? Seams like everyones doing it. Its all about shader processing. The X1800GTO has 12 processors whilst the x1950XT has 16 texture processors. The texture fill rate is measured in Mtexels/sec, the X1800GT can process at 6,000 whilst the X1950XT 10,000. I know it doesnt sound like a lot more but that is the difference between being able to run Need For Speed Carbon. If your worried about power consumption then the Ati cards are not for you. Only the other day I was looking at my electricity meter outside and when I turned on my uber machine with a 550 Watt supply you wouldnt believe how quickly it started to spin! I prefer something like the 7600 GT it may be only entry level but at least it can be run on a 350 Watt supply.

I think your wasting your time with the X1800 you want the X1950 which is the official mid range card, providing you arent bothered about DX 10 games. If you had 80 pounds you could buy one of these new. If budget is an issue some of the later Nvidia 7 series cards provide more performance for the same amount of money. I never buy from ebay because you never know how the card has been handled, or if someone has tried to overclock it. I dont believe now is the time to invest in a new card, DX10 is knocking at the door and to be honest I havent seen a card with impressive DX 10 performance to warrant a purchase.

I could never understand why Kirk was buried on Veridian III, he was a hero of the Federation yet Ive seen Ensigns given better funerals. Why didnt the Enterprise recover his body and take it back to Earth? Its all very confusing. If hes brought back to life in some Romulan test tube no-ones going to buy that for a second. Take Alien 4 for example, that was just silly. If they did bring him back I`d probably yell out in the cinema "Its a fake" ;) Perhaps Spock could return the favour..........and complete the circle of friendship? If Spock can survive a mere breach of anti matter containment then I`m sure Kirk can survive a very large bridge landing on his back :D Thats it!
